Hey guys a guy I use to know a guy that had a standard 318i BMW but he use to plaster it M3 badges grill, boot , side skirts etc despite not having any M parts on the car. This got me thinking is it ok to have Nismo badges on a stock car and if not how many Nismo parts before you can display a Nismo badge with the conviction that your car is worthy of it. I mean at the end of the day I don't care what people do with there cars but if your repping a tuner brand do you guys think you should have a minimum amount of parts.

Yeh I think it's each to their own, I plan to stick my badge on once I install all my parts in the garage and even then im a little apprehensive as i know there will be some diehard Nismo fanatics that may deem my parts list not sufficient enough to rep the Nismo flag.

i plan to run the following

GENUINE NISMO PARTS

Nismo oil cap

Nismo radiator cap

Nismo low temp thermostat

Nismo oil filter

Nismo rear badge

Nismo triple gauge cluster

Nismo tachometer cluster

Nismo Clear side indicators

Nismo muffler

Nismo front strut brace

Nismo intercooler air duct

Nismo oil change plate

uhh following that logic unless your car is a genuine nismo edition it doesn't matter how many nismo parts you put on it, it still isn't a nismo skyline.

That would be like putting an Rb26 and 4wd in a GTT and you put a GTR badge on it, it's still a GTT.

In saying that i don't think there is any issues with putting nismo badges on a skyline if it's what you like. It's your car do whatever you want with it, put nismo badges on it and be happy.

And you won't find a much larger Nismo fan over me. The badge is just another Nismo item, in fact i would get it solely to increase the number of nismo items you have lol.

haha yeah i get that im a huge fan to, my question though is that the S-tune badges in particular er34 S-tune items are not many at all potentially you could buy all the S-tune parts for a skyline and rep the S-tune badge, either way, i plan to show my badge and if people pull me up on it and ask what parts i have to wear the badge id be more than happy to go through my parts list hahahaha

I have a Nismo badge on my beer fridge....am I a pretender!!!  There is no Nismo beer in the fridge, my conscience is killing me now...oh loooordd I wish I hadn't seen this thread.

Just send it to Omori factory Japan and let them do their magic. You can choose if you want an S-Tune or R-Tune fridge upgrade.
They will use OEM parts from the manufacturer and label them Nismo and charge you three times the price of the OEM parts, but that's the only way to justify the badge.

    • I've got a 2011 J50 that I imported six years ago. The unmodified factory AV system date and time has always been correct ( Japanese timezone of course ) up until last month. About two weeks ago, at engine start, the system wished me a happy new year ( in Japanese of course ). I can't think of anything that would make the system think that the date had changed, unless the GPS component has failed/reset somehow ? I checked the GPS reception in the system settings, and it can still see the satellites. Has any other J50 owner had this happen ?  It's no biggie, just annoying that it tells me the wrong date anytime I start the engine. 😅
    • Love following your adventures on IG, hopefully if you're still around in Japan when we visit again wouldn't mind going for a few beers with you (that's if you're keen on hearing how I hate Nissans).
    • ok so if i wanted to go 18's i would go for 8's  in front 30+ or 32+ off set at front and the back 9 would be ok? what offset should i aim for.. then can i do some  hunting for wheel rim choices..    If i get this - will this fit all around: Size: 18 x 8.5 +37 - n what tyres size tyre should i get for front n back?
    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
