colourclassic
Coming back to SAU yet again since Holden forums are full of inbreds with an IQ of about zero. I just bought a VY SS ute that has an OTRCAI. Are they legal? Well, I don't really care if they are or not, but I need a RWC, so my question should be; 'Will an OTRCAI pass or comply with a Victorian roadworthy inspection? Professional advice greatly appreciated. Birds
It's not a roadworthy item so shouldn't be inspected as part of RWC. It's an EPA item and you're allowed one intake modification, at least in Victoria. So I'd say you're fine. Any tester who gets you on that is a dud trying to make more money off you. 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/472423-are-otrcais-legal/#findComment-7855324 Share on other sites
Sinista32
ACT Legal, NSW Legal - Although Vic is whack it should be legal and Birds post makes sense Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/472423-are-otrcais-legal/#findComment-7855363 Share on other sites
Count Grantleyish
Yeah, I had a Clubsport with Ramjet (worst OTR ever but that's another story) and I passed roadworthy along with huge exhaust. ShortCircuit
They are ok providing the MAF sensor is still in place. Some places will knock you back if they're removed.
