I beleive "J-spec" Auto or one of the more popular importers imported a V35 Sedan (just a 250GTm, nothing special) if I recall correctly? Can someone confirm? I think it was shipped to Brisbane...

  • 2 weeks later...

just supplied vehicle documentation to a compliancer in melb that's gone ahead and applied to be a RAWS for V35's dated 2001 - 2003, which even if Nissan Australia decided to bring in the V35 would be eligible for low volume import. A lot of compliancers are worried about gettin it only to find Nissan au bring it in and then lose sales. theyve brought or are bringing a couple of 350GT (a Premium Coupe and a Sedan from memory) down 2 melb for testing etc.

Theyre good value for money I suppose.

2003 model Couple GT black, auction grade 4.5, sold for 2624000 yen. About 33k + import duty + GST + compliance + onroads

Right. If you can just get over the *look* of the V35, it is in fact a bargain at auction.

The sedan isn't a bad looking car...I used to not like the look but after awhile you get use to it.  Understandably you guys don't see these cars day in day out.

The revised Sedan will have the same lights as the Coupe.

i see them day in day out ..the sedans got a fat arse....

but so does J.Lo...in my opinion..

it `s just a matter of taste

but do you see them in the flesh day in day out... ;)

different angles and different colours

Neighbour next door use to have a silver one for his wife course it didn't really stand out parked next to his white VIP 167 V300.

As I said used to not like it and now I don't mind it even the lights...things can't always be the same so it was refreshing to see a different kind of tail light but it too me a very very very very long time get use to the lights. Ass IMO ain't fat at all but maybe I like J.Lo's ass I mean car's with fat ass :).

Jake32, not aimed at you...but I find alot of guys place judgement on cars they've never seen in the flesh or driven...but somehow they can give such a great indepth opinion.

    • I might be way off the mark here.. there must be a T junction under the manifold. That takes manifold pressure through a check valve prior to the T, one side splits out to this bleed off orifice, the other straight to the wastegate actuators.
    • Carrying out some engine due diligence before my first drive in a 260RS that has been in storage for 10+ years, and found two lines that are susposed to be plumbed into the boost control solenoid. One of the lines (the wastegate boost supply line) to actuate the gates, had a bolt in one end blocking it. The other line (main boost signal line) from the very rear of the intake manifold (RB26DETT) and runs up to the boost controller had this pill in the end of it as seen in photos. Other than the obvious (T28 Ceramic turbos might well be cooked)  Can anyone shed any light on if there is any validity at all with this mod, bleeding a constant fixed rate of manifold boost pressure off through this 3mm hole?  Is it deliberate?  Was this a 90s Jap mod done to RB26's? Or has someone just fitted this without any idea of what happens to ceramic T28s if they are not gate controlled?
    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
