Hi,

I will apologize in advance as this is not going to be easy to explain.

I have converted my car from a live rear axle to independent rear. The independent rear was for a R32 Skyline, have taken the whole rear sub-frame and made mounts on the car to mount the sub-frame to it and have had a wheel alignment done and is within spec. The concern I have is that do I need to buy some adjustable traction arms as the only thing we didn't take into consideration was rake of the sub-frame in the skyline. Is it the case that because the arms are all attached to the sub-frame that if the front of the sub-frame was higher or lower at the front sub-frame mounts that no geometry has been changed?  I Have drawn a picture to try and explain what I mean and it is a exaggeration as i do believe we are close to where it should be. Car is not tuned yet and want to get it legal before I can test it on the street.

....... for example, you can buy kits of uerthane pineapple rings or alloy collars that can be used to change the tilt of the subframe on the car (on the Skyline, obviously) to alter the behaviour.  You can make it hook up in a straight line a little better (more squat) or you can add a little more anti-squat to kinda help lateral grip.  These are pretty bloody small changes around the stock tilt angle.  If you have it at a rather larger difference to the original angle, it could be quite weird.  You should probably get under an R32 over a pit and measure the heights of the front and back of the subframe relative to the ground to find out if you've got it close or dropped a clanger.

    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
