Yeah, it's all about being polite and showing them the due respect. I've been out in my car a few times (not me driving tho) and haven't been pulled up yet... mind you we haven't been doing anything dumb but still, no-ones tried to pull over the car to slap defect stickers on it

yeah, he whats known as a co*k. ur gonna get them everywhere, its just crap when they get in the police force, they act as if they r police that they have so much to deal with and ur part of what they hate.

u just have to shrug it off and have faith the in general 90% or so of police are very nice and are doing they're best to protect us. thats what i think, the biggest reason poeple dont like the police is because of politicians, the cops dont make the rules, and in a lot of cases they hate enforcing stupid rules as much as we hate copping them. and they look bad becuase they are the ones that have to do us for pointless defects.

my 2c anyway.

yeah i had a bloke pull me up in braddon one friday night. i wasn't out with the rest of the hoons, just passing through to get some fuel and a feed. then on my way out, got pulled up and accused of spinning my wheels. it had been raining, but i'm sure i hadn't done anything. he then told me if i wanted to argue, we can go to the magistrates court on monday. i told him i wasn't arguing, i was just stating that i don't think i spun my wheels. then he went around my car, asking me stupid questions about what mods etc. asked if i had a bov, i told him i did, but that it passed the pits at dickson. then he shutup and let me go on my way. i think he just needed a power trip.

What do we all think of this???

I think ur all wusses for taking the easy way and going for an auto license :D :jk:

honestly though, if you're talking about where you come off the Monaro and go under the bridge on Canb Ave - I go thru there every day - and even in the wet or giving it a bit to make the green light, i've never come unstuck.

so i think you pretty much have to accept it, as well as the P-plate thing. The p-plate, you might have got away with another time, but hey.. he's seen you hang it loose around an intersection....

As for the auto->manual thing, I thought it just changed automatically?? Or do you have to actually go in and ask for it?

couldn't have said it better!

Ok...Ok, i did come around the corner a bit fast.. But im not saying that i didnt do anything bad... im just saying that their there when you just do one lil thing stupid... I mean, everyone does it every once in a while or more for some of us.. But they just had to be right there at that time...

BIGGEST thing about it, they were bastards and tried to get me for everything.

Yes. i accept it...

But there are some nice cops and some bad cops...

Its all got to do with luck...

i do stuff you shouldnt do 24/7 in a car and i get busted ah- well i cant do what i do now when i have kids a morgage or am way old so do it now... if you just cop it sweet sometimes the cops have a laugh with you (but you still get the fine-damn it)

    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
