Stixbnr32
Hello, My R32 GTR has a small hesitation when changing throttle position when cruising at 100km/h. Its always had a small one but now its gotten worse. Full throttle is fine. background. 1) No MAF's 2) Splitfire coil packs 3) Nismo plugs (good check few months ago) 4) Compression 180-190 across all 6 5) Changed coil harness as the old one was brittle and fell apart but it didnt fix the issue 6) Stock ignitor (thinking its this) 7)HKS F-Con V pro had a touch up tune start of the year 8 ) vaccuum seems fine 9) Alternator is at about 13.8V 10) fuel filter has just been changed 11) Tomei FPR 12) -5 twin turbos Any ideas? Thanks Edited April 30, 2019 by Stixbnr32 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/476826-r32-gtr-hesitation-during-throttle-change/ Share on other sites
GTSBoy
It'll be in the tune, not the igniter. Throttle transitions are sometimes tricky to tune nicely, especially with ITBs and no AFM. Stixbnr32
Ah true - why would it have got worse though? I have a link G4+ in my safe just waiting to get my new trigger kit so once thats in it might fix it. Fuel pressure could have changed, injector(s) could be a little dirtier, small vacuum/exhaust leak changing the way it breathes, etc etc. Probably all sorts of sneaky reasons. Even just changing the fuel filter might have done it. Stixbnr32
Yeh thats interesting as I did change a couple of old fuel hoses as they were not in very good condition. Ok retune sooner rather than later. Lithium
Do you have a wideband on it or anything? That FCon must be harder and harder to find people to tune, are you likely to stay with it? Stixbnr32
no wideband. Yeah the HKS is going - that is why I have a Link G4+ in the safe waiting to go in. Just waiting for my trigger kit.
