Hi Guys,

I have recently bought a Nissan Stagea M35 2001 model qv25det,

There is an oil leak located on the intercooler, What would be like likely caused of this leak? I believe the turbo was replaced last year buy the seller and I am having trouble finding where the turbo is,

Is there any schematics to locate the turbo locations to find out if the leaking is coming from there? Not sure if you guys need any other photos, there is also some old oil left on the intercooler pipe leading to the intercooler.

Let me know if you have any ideas

Thanks guys

Most likely a power steering leak (is it power steering fluid, or oil they feel quite different)

Clean it all with degreaser and water and then check again in a couple of days to see where it is coming from.

It doesn't feel like power steering fluid, the fluid feels thick, I will give it a clean and have a lookout for where it may be coming from thanks

Or could be transmission fluid leaking out of the radiator... They have a transmission fluid feed at the bottom of the radiator - if its a stock one.

N.B. to find your turbo just follow the intake pipe down from the air filter

Possible hole in intercooler which is forcing blowby out there. Does it run well? Hunting or stalling?

Doesnt feel like I have any power loss, No stalling no Hunting

Recently went for a drive just to test, Doesnt appear to be leaking very much at all even if I put my foot down a few times

    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
    • That's one of the reasons I got that breed, they look weird, the other reasons are they small, they are very vocal, and run around like they are on crack, I didn't want a breed that just sits around, these two are like kids on red cordial  My daughter has one, and it's a laugh riot, constantly doing Parkour around the house, sits on her shoulder, plays catch, and constantly runs around the house taking turns chasing the dog around, her Bermese though, just lays around with constant bitch face, and just looks on in utter disgust at the cat and dog playing together
    • I'm getting PTSD flashbacks seeing that name again.  With my turbo swift, I got 1,500km of street use on a Jim Berry clutch before it exploded and took out my input shaft with it.
