I'm dealing with him right now. I made an order over a week ago and when I login to the site it shows my EMS number but when I do the search nothing can be found. I have been trying for about 3-4 days and still nothing. I would have thought an EMS tracking number would be given as soon as the package is being shipped??

No.

Based on my experience, there will be a delay until the number appears in the system. Some time it will be up in 2 days after it was delivered, sometimes

it will be up to 5 days after. There's two website, the japanese one

and our australian post one. the japanese one will be more up to date

while the item just left japan, and the australian one will be more up to date

once the item has arrived in australia.

i think Brents service is great, although i had to wait like 6 weeks for my product....the first 5 weeks...there were major delays...something wiyth japanese holidays,NABOON or something like that...but i was patient enough. When he did send the product, it took around 5 working days, and i picked up my FMIC at my local postie...i thought i would of had to go to Cylde to get my i/c..( thats what i had to do when i got my AVC-R).

Nengun is good. If he takes long, be patient, he won't run away with your $$

cheers,

Like RS73 said, the auspost site can take a while to update. once stuff starts to appear there, your goods wont be far away.

ronin, yeah it can be tough with the emails sometimes, but all I can say is he must get a shedload of them and on the whole he does a very good job of managing it.

that was a japanese holiday to remember their dead or something so there have been delays. I am also waiting, 4 weeks and counting for some stuff to arrive from him.

my mates power fc finally arrived, 8 weeks after he ordered it. what wonderful service, then to top it off he got fined $150 by customs coz old mate in japan didnt declare anything. i definitely wont buy anything through him and my mate wont again.

If you want to be harsh against Brent go for it. But just remember that if you were to purchase that Power FC from anywhere else in Japan, how long do you think its going to take ? at least 2 months before they even think about doing anything.

And the fact that the price of the FC is ridiculously cheap and you only got $150 duty, your still saving a few hundred dollars compared to buying it in Australia where it retails for $1500 +

So don’t complain, as Brent is only a single man setup over their and he can’t take care of every ones needs all at once.

And why are you complaining about: “then to top it off he got fined $150 by customs coz old mate in japan didnt declare anything” ???? Any product over $1000 gets hit with customs regardless. SO STOP COMPLAINING!

Being that it was me that started this whole thread off,I'd just like to report the my brand new HKS 2530's just rolled up,a mere 13 days after leaving Nengun/Brent's caring hands.Absoutely outstanding service AND price!Once the "Obon" festival thing was over and done with,he obviously wasted no time getting my turbos to my doorstep.I can guarantee all listening that I'll buy again from Nengun with full confidence!!Flat out F*#%IN' sensational!!Whadda ya reckon-am I stoked,or what!?!

glad ur turbos are hear, ill assume that means mine arent far away, i ordered mine sometime ago, but ive been kept up to date with why there have been delays and what not, though i do believe mine havent been sent yet  cars sitting there just waiting to be bolted back together, only had it 5 days when it died :) ah well.

all im doing BBQ is warning ppl that when they read this thread and see "i got my stuff 4 days after i payed for it", that thats not always how it goes, and the price he gives you may not be final. for some ppl that budget for exactly what they have bought and might not be able to afford the bit extra that isnt factored in.

Brent is good, i had a 2k order from him that i asked to be sent as two smaller orders and i got stung at customs for the lot. This happens when you are trying to sneak stuff in keep that in mind when you are workng out how much money you can blow. Maybe you dont have as much cash as you really think, this is not brents fault.

i ordered(wont say where from) and payed for some rims from rays in feb that where meant to take 6-12 weeks, he(not brent) should have said 6-12 months and i woulda gone somewhere else. I still dont have them, and my car is sitting unregistered as a result try to stomach that. No tracking numbers yet, poor customer service list goes on.

Would'nt normally waste my time winging but my point is that Brent is good and those people winging about 4 weeks or something like that should get in the real world. 7-8 months on rims, i dont know what world im in anymore but i wouldnt be in it if id just have got them thru brent-nengun.

beware the real problem comes when you want a refund because its taken over half a year. its hard to know where you stand, especially when you are told to take them to court if you want teh cash back...

im done just makes me feel :spew:

i know stuff like that goes on, and it sucks, but i feel ppl get the wrong idea when they read this thread that it isnt as perfect as ppl are saying. ive ordered stuff from another company in japan 2 weeks ago and got my order in 5 days from payment and ive also ordered stuff from the u.s off another company who both times it arrived at my door 3 working days, and if it was gunna take longer they would let me know what products they didnt have in stock and how long it would take, that was befor they recieved payment. thats not what he did with my mate, thats all ive got a problem with and its because he did it twice the first time it took 2 1/2 months and he was stung then with an extra couple of hundred to get what he ordered shipped from melbourne to brisbane from an outside company that was extra and had to come out of his own pocket

Sorry, but what is the delay?? If they have them for sale and you buy, i cant see why it takes so long!! Is the boat going around the world?

Ive heard everything possible and then some, i was told they where not in stock when i payed. i was told 6-12 weeks knowing full well before i ordered there was little chance of them being instock(at rays) and therefore quite prepared to wait 6-12 weeks. its been a really long 6-12 weeks since mid feb and i dont really know whats going on. last i heard they where at "the japanese buyers' house but that was two weeks yesterday. havent received email in that time to say anything either. i find this odd as i was assured they where being sent express 4 day delivery from japan. Maybe customs has them, i dont know you think id have a letter from Aus post or something. Could get and email any day (or not) explaing thngs to me again... who knows. the worst part is i cant register/insure my car untill i have them and its been that way for 2-3 months :uhh:

bretto: if your mates stuff was not sent to the address he supplied, i agree he should be pissed off and its a valid point to make. Is there more to the story?

I had some stuff sent from nengun-brent and it went to knore but brent was more than sorry, had knore's details for me and was more than happy to have it posted too me at his(brents) expense. By then id had enough of the post, drove to the southside to knore's house and picked up my parts.

nah it wasnt that it was sent to the wrong address it was a roll cage and they shipped it up by courier, just an extra expense that was not included in the initial price paid.

if it was sent to the correct address then it cannot be brents fault, can it?

I surgest use all have a read of the terms and conditions on the nengun website.

Guys stop complaining, Im sure brent recieves emails everyday and orders everyday and he is going to be busy non stop. So give him some slack hes doing what he can to get your part's to you as quick as possible. Although their may be some stuff-ups then deal with it thats life.

:)

    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
    • Hi,  Just joined the forum so I could share my "fix" of this problem. Might be of use to someone. Had the same hunting at idle issue on my V36 with VQ35HR engine after swapping the engine because the original one got overheated.  While changing the engine I made the mistake of cleaning the throttle bodies and tried all the tricks i could find to do a throttle relearn with no luck. Gave in and took it to a shop and they couldn't sort it. Then took it to my local Nissan dealership and they couldn't get it to idle properly. They said I'd need to replace the throttle bodies and the ecu probably costing more than the car is worth. So I had the idea of replacing the carbon I cleaned out with a thin layer of super glue and it's back to normal idle now. Bit rough but saved the car from the wreckers 🤣
    • After my last update, I went ahead with cleaning and restoring the entire fuel system. This included removing the tank and cleaning it with the Beyond Balistics solution, power washing it multiple times, drying it thoroughly, rinsing with IPA, drying again with heat gun and compressed air. Also, cleaning out the lines, fuel rail, and replacing the fuel pump with an OEM-style one. During the cleaning process, I replaced several hoses - including the breather hose on the fuel tank, which turned out to be the cause of the earlier fuel leak. This is what the old fuel filter looked like: Fuel tank before cleaning: Dirty Fuel Tank.mp4   Fuel tank after cleaning (some staining remains): Clean Fuel Tank.mp4 Both the OEM 270cc and new DeatschWerks 550cc injectors were cleaned professionally by a shop. Before reassembling everything, I tested the fuel flow by running the pump output into a container at the fuel filter location - flow looked good. I then fitted the new fuel filter and reassembled the rest of the system. Fuel Flow Test.mp4 Test 1 - 550cc injectors Ran the new fuel pump with its supplied diagonal strainer (different from OEM’s flat strainer) and my 550cc injectors using the same resized-injector map I had successfully used before. At first, it idled roughly and stalled when I applied throttle. Checked the spark plugs and found that they were fouled with carbon (likely from the earlier overly rich running when the injectors were clogged). After cleaning the plugs, the car started fine. However, it would only idle for 30–60 seconds before stalling, and while driving it would feel like a “fuel cut” after a few seconds - though it wouldn’t fully stall. Test 2 – Strainer swap Suspecting the diagonal strainer might not be reaching the tank bottom, I swapped it for the original flat strainer and filled the tank with ~45L of fuel. The issue persisted exactly the same. Test 3 – OEM injectors To eliminate tuning variables, I reinstalled the OEM 270cc injectors and reverted to the original map. Cleaned the spark plugs again just in-case. The stalling and “fuel cut” still remained.   At this stage, I suspect an intermittent power or connection fault at the fuel pump hanger, caused during the cleaning process. This has led me to look into getting Frenchy’s fuel hanger and replacing the unit entirely. TL;DR: Cleaned and restored the fuel system (tank, lines, rail, pump). Tested 550cc injectors with the same resized-injector map as before, but the car stalls at idle and experiences what feels like “fuel cut” after a few seconds of driving. Swapped back to OEM injectors with original map to rule out tuning, but the issue persists. Now suspecting an intermittent power or connection fault at the fuel pump hanger, possibly cause by the cleaning process.
