Hoping for input on R34 GTT coilovers

I currently have Apexi circuit spec coil overs on my R34 GTT.  They are so stiff, almost unbearable.  The helper spring is fully compressed which I assume is causing the issue.  I cant lower the car anymore safely to give the help spring additional room.  Should I remove the helper spring, try a different coilover, or something else?  Thanks!

A fully compressed helper spring is not the problem. The only reason a helper spring is installed is to prevent the very short main spring from becoming loose when running at higher ride heights (and/or in some droop conditions).

They will just be the typical rock hard Jap springs & dampers.

You could try different springs in them. That's easy with coilovers. Although the dampers might be a bit firm still (for softer springs).

The smart approach would be to get some MCA or Shockworks coilovers to suit your usage model.
