G'day all,

Live in South Perth, and have, a datsun 240Z, and am on the search for an RB20DET R32 manual front cut to swap in..

Have had trouble finding a place that sells them, Rang up "japco", was told to wait 3 weeks, and call up again then... Also maytec

Anyone know of any other places i could source a low km decent front cut asap?

Thanks all.

Cuong's swap will/has cost him a shitload more than what I plan even though the end result will be awesome...

would have to do a lot more mods for the 26...$$$

On a tight budget, RB20 g/box fits straight into z driveshaft, just need to modify sump $200, mounts $100, crossmember.

then wiring around $300

Been waiting for so long for a front cut/package to get this done...

Not sure of the pricing or your budget but I know of a RB25DET manual half cut coming for less than 3K.

Guy brings in Scooby stuff and got offered the half Nissan to fill up the container and asked me if it was worth bringing in.

Let me know if your interested and I'll PM the contact details

Cheers

thanks for the advice guys.

Yeah, I've tried getting in contact with him a few times.. He is who I'd like to go through, says he can wire it, get an LSD for me etc.. just trying to get in contact with him hasn't been so easy.

I really want to go through a local company, somewhere in perth, otherwise I don't know what i'm buying interstate...

How much were you looking at under $3k? The cut must be in pretty good nick for that price, Could you pm me the details of it ? Thanks mate.

Can't wait to have an RB sitting in the bay...

Here's some pics of the zed

    • Mixing things up - installed some leather recaros to match the leather seat covered rear seats. Interior looks pretty schmick now except for some slight wear on the steering wheel which I will monitor and address if it becomes worse or actually noticeable!

And there's only one piece of wiring I'm displeased about in the Landcruiser, and it's about to be cut out... However, the box loads of parts that have been going through this place lately for the Landcruiser... Brake pads Brake Rotors Full handbrake overhaul Wheel Bearings Seals Swivel hubs Steering Boxes Half the suspension joints Shocks Air bags (Ones to go in the rear springs for towing) Water pump Timing kit Lower timing case Harmonic Balancer Radiator Lots of other little seals and shits Gas struts for the bonnet New power window switches And god knows what else I've forgotten... Ha ha ha I have my fingers crossed the pinion seals don't start leaking on the diffs, that the transfer case doesn't leak, and the gearbox input shaft doesn't leak, nor the rear main seal. As they're about the only seals I haven't replaced in the driveline! I'm seriously eyeing off buying new caliper rebuild kits front and rear brake calipers... I'll probably recheck all the valve clearances soon too, and hopefully, it should be all good and sweet to haul some long distance trips again!
