GTS-t VSPEC
Not too much chance at the moment, seems like they've become a popular swap-in engine, and a few of the workshops are buying any they can get there hands on. Why not do what Cuong did and put and RB26 in:D Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/49907-240z-rb20det/#findComment-993768 Share on other sites
rb20_z
Cuong's swap will/has cost him a shitload more than what I plan even though the end result will be awesome... would have to do a lot more mods for the 26...$$$ On a tight budget, RB20 g/box fits straight into z driveshaft, just need to modify sump $200, mounts $100, crossmember. then wiring around $300 Been waiting for so long for a front cut/package to get this done... R34
Not sure of the pricing or your budget but I know of a RB25DET manual half cut coming for less than 3K. Guy brings in Scooby stuff and got offered the half Nissan to fill up the container and asked me if it was worth bringing in. Let me know if your interested and I'll PM the contact details Cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/49907-240z-rb20det/#findComment-994244 Share on other sites
200zRRR
Mr Mayhem's definitely the go, he is bringing them in all the time and I am planning on getting one off him soon, PM him and he should be able to look after you (after all he is an old skool Nissan fanboy ). rb20_z
thanks for the advice guys. Yeah, I've tried getting in contact with him a few times.. He is who I'd like to go through, says he can wire it, get an LSD for me etc.. just trying to get in contact with him hasn't been so easy. I really want to go through a local company, somewhere in perth, otherwise I don't know what i'm buying interstate... How much were you looking at under $3k? The cut must be in pretty good nick for that price, Could you pm me the details of it ? Thanks mate. Can't wait to have an RB sitting in the bay... VSPEC32
Needs some overfenders and classic deeeep dish RS Watanabe's to go with that front bar. Should be a top performer once finished. rb20_z
Watanabe's.... If i could afford a set of them i'd be doing an rb26 overfenders? do you mean like SG flares? (bolt on flares) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/49907-240z-rb20det/#findComment-994842 Share on other sites
VSPEC32
Yeah, but you'd need deep dish rims to fit those : ( But you're right, you would be doing an RB26 conversion if you could afford the Watanabe's.
