Has anybody actually received their CD from FunkeyMonkey aka Shan Moorthy. I made a direct deposit for the $10 into his account on the 4th November and still havn't recieved a CD. I have PM'd him on numerous occasions and get a lame excuse and now i don't even get a reply. I wouldn't have thought anbody would be desperate enought to rip anyone for a lousy $10 but i guess if their are enought $10's around it might be profitable.

Shan's a pretty nice guy, so he's just being a bit tardy. I doubt he's off to the carribean with your cash. I get the impression that he's burning the candle at both ends trying to work through Uni.

I'll give him a hustle up next time I talk to him, hopefully today.

Thanks Geoff, I was hoping someone from Vic might jog his memory. He kept saying he would check why my CD wasn't delivered and kept saying it will be in the post tomorrow and i have been waiting and waiting. Just seemed crazy that a CD would be so hard to mail off. 5 weeks is ridiculous.

Thanks Geoff

Ken

hey guys, sorry to be dicking you guys around, I sent em off as a pacel post package (bundle) the first time around, and it seems that they didn't go thru. Wierd, since then I've pm'd you guys and asked for alternate methods, and I think all of you have gotten back to me. I haven't had time since then to actually do much, but I'll have this all sorted out by next week. Sorry for the trouble. I won't run away with your money :( I've got my rep as an admin of the forum to maintain. :)

ok I've just double checked the records, and I've sent these CD's to the following people as of Friday 5pm

Ian B - R33

Steve L - R32

Heath E - R33

Mark G - R33

Minh N - R33

If there's anyone I missed out please let me know.

Shan, good to see you on the ball. Was going to drop in earlier (after a quick call to check) regarding these resources for myself but time got away from me.

Maybe over the weekend. Busy getting the GTR cams in.

yeah I've jus been really busy with work and these damned forums stuffing up all the time.

To those that asked for the R32 and R33 manual CD's I've included the not so detailed English versions of them on the CD's as well, just to make life a lil easier.

WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU ACTUALLY SEND ME WHAT I PAID FOR MONKEY. OR AT LEAST REPLY TO MY PM. EITHER SEND ME THE DISC OR GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. YOU CAN REPLY TO ME BY ANSWERING THE PM I SENT TO YOU :kick:

BEST REGARDS GILLY.

Not sure if you got my pm Shan but i havent received mine yet either, im happy to pick it up if that can be arranged easily

Rhett

I sent you a PM some time back but got no response, if the R32 manuals cover the GTR I'll take a copy, so PM the acct details if that's the case.

    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
