********The group buy will be going ahead in the next week, payments need to be in by Wednesday the 13th********

They're full Reverse Dials, they have the 2 tone colour. The colour can be flicked between green/blue and contrast can also be adjusted via a controller. They're similar to the ones on the attachment.

*******UPDATE ON PRICES*******

$140 per set, pick up available or extre $7 for next day delivery

Uniqueautosports sells the plain blue/green ones for $250 which are not reverse lights. It was hard to get a pic of them in the day, can't really see the lighting that well, but the attached file above is pretty much what you get, it looks exactly like that. At the moment I can only get them for the r33 and only up to 180km/h dials. I've asked them to try and make them for other models r32, r34 etc as well as 320km/h clusters, but they don't have them at the moment.

Thanks, Daz

I've spoken to the supplier and he said we can do:

$160 per pair if we buy 10, or

$150 per pair if we can get can 20 buys

Hi Guys,

I would be really keen, but need to know:

what is the difference with reverse or not? I have seen the ones that uniqueauto has and they look way too bright.

the pic you attached is spot on with brightness... no too noticable from other cars and satellites....

Rob.

With reverse-lighting, the characters and marker lines light up (i.e like stock dials but with a funkier color!). With a normal backlit kit, the background lights up, but the characters and marker lines don't. They are a lot more common than the reverse ones (I haven't seen a reverse kit in the flesh yet) and IMO a tad too tacky.

JAGER: the dials that i can get are exactly as seen in the attachment..

yeah YOYO's spot on

the ones from unique are just the plain blue/green dials which are really quite bright, these are perfect I think, nice contrast in colours and not so boring

YOYO: I've asked about 180sx/s13 ones, but the only ones I can get for them are the normal green/blue illumicent ones. I really want the reverse ones for my 180 too but they don't make em. If you want I can get you those plain illumicent ones for a bit cheaper than these reverse dials

    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
    • No. I think it might be the AFM. Hence the use of the terms "swaptronics", which implies the use of swapping out electronics for the purpose of diagnosis. It's about the only way to prove that a small/niggling/whatever problem with an AFM or a CAS or similar is actually caused by that AFM/CAS/whatever. A known good item swapped in that still gives the same problem is likely to be caused somewhere else. They're all the same. Spraying AFMs with cleaner is an each way bet between cleaning it and f**king it.
    • Oh wow! This might actually work amazingly. Do you know the ratio of the diff? I was told the only thing you need to make sure of is if the front & rear diff ratios are the same. Ours is a 4.083 Thanks!
    • You think its the AFM? I know its a common issues on R32s. I find it coincidental how this issue raised right after cleaning the fuel system. As everything except the fuel system was fine before. I tried running it with the IACV unplugged but did not notice a difference and still stalled. However, the RPM gauge is not in the cluster right now, so I will need to connect the laptop again and use Nistune to check the RPM. I will check this weekend.
