Goon
to be honest, i think banning p platers from driving high performance vechiles will significantly cut down the problem. i am 18 and on my green p's. and i know that i am contradicting myself when i say that im looking to buy a import a bit further down the line, cause im all for the power restrictions. but im still getting a import, because, well, i can. Tosh
an import doesn't necessarily have to be powerful either Toyota Sera N/A Silvia Celica convertible etc... ed
But you can still reach 160km/hr in a Corolla. What happens when they start crashing cars like that when dragging on the M2/4/5? makaveli
I think its very dodgy how people that can't even read or speak english are on our roads with lisences, that is also dangerous! Maybe the government should arrange better availability for use of tracks, for people to go to rather than on the roads. I am sorry to hear about the accident although I hate thinking the impression it gives us skyline drivers! take it easy Mark Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/52769-nightline-tonight/page/2/#findComment-1038798 Share on other sites
T0nyGTSt
Im all for power to weight restrictions Frankie Because that shit don't affect us I'm reminded of how things are different now that P platers have to wear them for 3 years and there's lots more paperwork and tests. Even if there's education and all the restrictions in the world, kids will still crash high powered cars. You know that sick | I don't think P/W restrictions is going to help. A stock Falcon does 182kW, a Commodore now does 175/190kW. The sad fact is that these things are endemic to our nature just as John Conner says in Terminator 2. T. franks
But you can still reach 160km/hr in a Corolla. What happens when they start crashing cars like that when dragging on the M2/4/5? it takes alot of bitumen to get to 160km/h though.... let them, motorways are far more safer to go high speeds on - weren't they built for just that? I think its very dodgy how people that can't even read or speak english are on our roads with lisences, that is also dangerous! maybe you should include people who can't spell either mate Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/52769-nightline-tonight/page/2/#findComment-1039034 Share on other sites
Blitz
Well ive just come back from the Northern beaches earlier this evening when i saw no less than 3 R33 GTS-T's speed off from traffic lights and one white R33 GTS-T series 2 with BC or DC as the first two letters of the plate racing a commodore along the main road in Mona Vale - If this is you, your a fawking idiot. T0nyGTSt
That was probably me... lol jkz So you chopped the Commodore? Good one bruv Seriously, there are lotsa tools in Skylines. One thing though... apparently this incident that sparked off this conversation was not a drag... just a cruise and they guy just hit boost and spun out at 70km/h. I call some suspicion but it's not more believable than a 33 dragging a Honda Civic  T. fatz
"Government should make race tracks more available" lol this is gold if you join 3 car clubs you could do a supersprint every weekend for 100 buck and actually learn to drive my experience is that the people with really done up cars(looks and rice) come to one day find out there shit cant take it (cant understand why a 50 year old laps quicker in there mini) and never come back cause there not fast enough and not looking cool enough... lol best one i ever saw was a mirage with all the rice...stick it into the wall on the first lap at Oran park(must have thought it was Brighton and tried to do 150 around a 90 corner) People whinge about access to race track if all the p platers out there actually wanted to go to the track suddenly there would be more days due to demand Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/52769-nightline-tonight/page/2/#findComment-1039630 Share on other sites

fatz
i must say there are diffrent people who attend drags and circuit day.. and in general that is a good thing ... the two dont mix and i must say i like it that way im all for getting more younger drivers down to the track but realistically i like the fact they dont go there and "in general" the people who do are people i would assosiate with more but i supose there are just as many up themselves people at circuit day as there are tool at the drags.. lol Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/52769-nightline-tonight/page/2/#findComment-1039923 Share on other sites
