Ahh bob, it’s always good to see others revelling in cynicism too :P

Veyron scores a big meh I think.

The Calloway Sledgehammer Aero of the late 80’s had 1000bhp & a 410km top speed. And it’s basically a modified Corvette right down to Gen II pushrod V8.

Give me a Koenigsegg CCR!

Standing ¼ in 9sec – 395km/h top speed – 4.7L V8

And according to those bastards lucky enough to drive one, it handles amazingly too.

.

I like the CCR for what it is, which is really one of those top speed supercars.

if i had to pick a current supercar it would probably go in this order or preference:

1.ferrari enzo (although maybe a gt, it would be a hard decision :P )

2.porsche carrera gt

3.pagani zonda

4.ferrari f360 challenge stradale (hardcore :P )

5.porsche gt2

i would prefer a drivers car rather than an outright top speed car, although i see the attraction... CCR would be my top speed car of choice.. apparently it drives like crap untill you arre going at least about 80MPH (which makes sense)

And how are you so confident it will 'NEVER' be sold ever, thats a pretty big statement unless you work for bugatti.

I'd say I am taking a side of the fence opposite to yours on this one. I'd take your money on a bet that VW has more sense than to piss millions up the wall when their shareholders aren't real happy about the situation. To release the car under the 'Veyron' badge now would just ask for a share price drop. As an investor I'd be rather concerned that one of the new 'mega rich' owners might have an accident and his army of lawyers would have little problems bringing a massive law suit against the company not to mention the bad press if the Veyron actually killed a well known rich bastard.

Take the engine out. Put it in something not made by Bugatti.

We put the 'BUG' in BUG-atti.

well that sucks then

but it is still coming out yes? that means we wont truely know what its capable till then. Surely something with a 8.8 1/4 (unconfirmed) and 400km/h ability straight off the floor is nothing to scoff at.

i didnt even know anything about bugatti until i stumbled onto this, so sorry for those who already know, i just though it mite be a valuable learning discussion talking about some of the technology in this car.

i like any company who sits down and says 'right, lets design the fastest, most powerful car in the world' even if it takes them along time to do it

cerbera: So your saying this car hasnt taken engine/mechanical technology to another level? :D

What other car has everything this car has? yeh bmw might have a similar transmission, and VW mite have made a similar engine, but thats 1/100th of the feat bugatti will achieve if they finish this car properly.

How can a 2tun car do 8.8seconds on street tyres ?

what a load of shit.

How can a 2tun car do 8.8seconds on street tyres ?

what a load of shit.

thanks for the contribution mate :bonk: , its says unconfirmed, but with 4wd, 1000hp and 7 gears do u really doubt it that much?

And where does it say 2 tonn, alot of the body is compisites

yeh Koenigsegg ccr is already a well in use supercar, good to see even with a small market that other companies can design such crazy cars though

Does anyone know exacly how the 4 turbos operate IE sequential etc? Im assuming they are either paired or seperately activated depending on rpm? Are all 4 the same size?

obviously choosing 4 turbos sounds a little silly and over complex, so they must have had their reasons. Each is paired together, so that would mean 2 would start early in the rpm and the other 2 join in later? Or all 4 at the same time?

they look like garret t28s

    • Order for the 2025 model R35 GT-R were accepted from 3rd March and 26th August the last order rolled off the production line at the Tochigi plant. Concerning the R35 GT-R replacement, current Nissan CEO Ivan Espinosa said "Nothing has been decided about the GT-R at this time, but we are well aware that everyone is waiting. The GT-R will evolve and reappear in the future. Please be patient until that day comes." Nissan has a lot of issues with management and finances so take Espinosa's words with a big grain of salt. From what discussions I've had and read about here in Japan, not a lot of people are confident about Nissan's future, let alone the next GT-R.
    • Thanks. We getting some parts along too so he will be solving the speed issue like next week so i will let you know what he came up with.
    • 21 is explicitly the coils detected as the issue. Is it guaranteed the actual issue? No. Just the ECU thinks it is. When you say rattling, describe it better, get an audio clip as best you can if possible.
    • Yea got me coppers. Bad news is I just put them in and the car still has the light and shakes. I also noticed I hear like rattling coming from the exhaust piping right under me. Does 21 also have a possibility of being O2 sensors?   So, coil packs are good, the harness is good, the MAF is working, and obviously the spark plugs just replaced and working.
    • Make sure you drop the GTT base tune back in, and set your injectors again, this will remove anything playing up with it you may have removed. Possibly lean there as it's normally a fast transient going THROUGH atmospheric pressure, and a turbo motor would then quickly go richer as boost builds. The only worry you MIGHT have is ignition timing, as the DE is higher compression than the DET from memory. But again, you're not in boost, so the DE motor will be a lot more forgiving at atmospheric.   Get Murray, Kinkstahs, and Johnny's input on tuning haltechs, those guys have played with tuning enough in the past to be able to help now you're past the trouble shooting stage of the MAP issue
