Hmm, i ended the day with 2 nice stone chips, one from MRe and one from Nizman i beleive...

also, the tip tronic is a bit farked now.... dont think it can quite handle the beating i gave it.

other than that.. good cruise, would have been good if everyone was going a bit harder (like mad mt 2) but hey. Also, the straight me and nizman found would have to be the best bit of road ever... hmm,, may go for a quick cruise there now :(

My best part was chasing down a Silver 33 and sitting behind him till my right indicator lens popped out.

 yep that was me you were chasing, good run we had there until your indicator wanted out

That was a great way to finsih up owning a skyline, I will always remember Mad Mtn 2 as being the fastest and most challenging of them all. Thanks Dave for the use of the BBBQ and other implements.

Stone Chips were a problem for a few of us I'd say on this run, I have 2 new crows feet on the windscreen from a certain Scoob B4, some of those roads around northern NSW are a little to narrow and crappy for skylines dare I say :(

And to who ever I drove back to the coast with from Dave's in the white R33.....Real nice drivin!!:):(:) :) :D

Pics to come...

yes, your always welcome to use my implements karl.

The guy in the white 33 was sky|ine (ross). Doesnt come on the forums tho I dont think, only IRC.

sounds like you had some fun driving home too then.

also, msn me, i have worked out what boost im getting now. 10psi over 5k :(

good to hear guys

i will definatly be there for the next one

nizman u still got yah silver 33 i thought you were gunna sell it like 6-7 months ago

and compliments to daves driving..its not easy to get a skyline airborn at 210k's and not break anything :(

Thanks for the day guys...

pitty theres only a few straights, next time I'll have some sticky tyres. Just couldn't get traction until high up in 3rd. Turbo got hot enough to start cooking my abs. maybe I should run 15psi next time.

Japtaxi, your nutz :( I backed off cause I was getting airborne and you still have the loud pedal down! Nutter :)

Yeah Marko, still got it, I decided to wait until I had saved half the deposit on a house and then sell, and this time has come, that was my last cruise, I 've got new tyres, new brakes, 6 months rego & a road worthy. The car will be in Brisbane papers for the next four weeks.

Won't be advertising it here as everyone on the forums should know that 25K is too much for a auto GTSTR33.

was in a subaru b4.. true rally style. If I had the r33, i would have probably hit it at over 260km/h! Also, im sure my car would fall into peices if I try... which is what im going to be doing tomorrow :)

that was fun. Man I can kick myself for it pooping out on me. I had a whole lot rpms to go. I used you to make sure the way was clear :( that is why I eased off a bit. But that straight was the best. My baby wanted to take off so many times.

How about an impromptu meeting this saterday everyone

Well I'm annoyed i couldn't make it, but i wouldn't want to be pushing my car that hard at this stage anyway. Next time I think we should go for a sunday, maybe in the new year holidays or something as this time of year there's always things coming up.

Once I get my car back on the road (well, driving properly anyway) i'm gunna go do some scouting around mt glorious and nebo and look at getting another mt cruise going.

Hey guys...I don't get on the computer much anymore...so i'd like to meet some of u so i can find out whats happening...I'm coming to brissy on friday night...If any of u guys or girls can ring me then i'd love to meet up with u and chat....Hope to hear from u..Ph No. 0427734255

    • Bummer...yeah i "need" something to "ease" up the work and for my driving it would be enough.    Iam counting the tune "without" turbo. I do not mean "cheap" like something from Temu around 200 USD, "Cheap" is something around 1000 USD?
    • Starter motors used to use the weight of metal (magnets) to provide torque. Now they use (more) current instead. This. It's completely normal.
    • So thing that had me stumped, but I think is OK....is that when it was up in the air, in neutral I had it running to bleed to coolant while I put the wheels back on. I noticed the rears were turning (slowly) which I'd never seen before 20250928_163512.mp4     Because there had been an issue with clutch slip due to pedal adjustment on the dyno, I assumed there was still and issue so spent some quality time upside down under the dash adjusting the pedal....but no matter what I did the wheels still turned in neutral. Even disconnected the master cylinder to pedal rod and same. In despair, I even removed the clutch slave so there was no chance of any preload causing it.....still happened. So either: 1. Something is not right in the bellhousing, or 2. Its a thing sometimes with cold, thick gearbox oil Internet says it might be 2, I hope so!
    • OK, few more things sorted and it is ready for a shakedown on 10-Oct, with one weird thing. Changed the run in oil and filter for the good stuff. 8l came out, about 8.5 went in with filter so that looks all good. Changed the starter (again), this time for a brand new one, works good. Interesting that the Taaaarks one is shorter than factory but spins harder, I guess electronics have moved on a little in the last 30 years. Will be nice to have a bit of extra space under there. Put the timing cover back on, and noted where the cam gears were set as a record.  Will need to double check the timing but it is pretty close. Also put the coil pack cover and intake snorkel back on. Exhaust Inlet Changed the water out for coolant, bled up nicely. Removed the rear brake pads (well worn factory sumitomo ones!), gave the hardware a good clean and reassembled. I've put bendix XP on the back again because the price is excellent at $150 a set and they worked well on the V37. Front pads have plenty so no issue there
