People,

Can highly recommend taking Ash out. He's a top bloke. I went to the SAU VIC meeting last tuesday, as you do when in melbourne for a couple of weeks, and Ash kindly extended his middle finger, i mean passenger seat, when this west aussie was looking for a car to cruise in. One word sums him up: Champion :)

Ash, I look forward to extending the invitation back when i'm back that way, no GT30 or screamer pipe on my car though mate.

:)

Dave

    • Huh, a racing spec Primera?   Brings back memories from Toca Race Driver. Love pretty much all those touring cars. Though I thought they were FWD so maybe not.
    • Close. Not quite. You’re on the right track. It’s a super obscure car that not many people in Australia own or would’ve even heard of. A hint: it was developed to dominate a gaijin racing championship.
    • Sorry for the confusion, I meant would there be heat buildup internally in the S3 that would be detrimental to the ecu situated under the seat but covered over as suggested
    • Navara? If it's a Bluebird, I might throw up in my mouth a little.
    • What heat build up are you asking about? Heat in the wiring providing the power to the Haltech, if remote mounted and power run via the fu(k-da-polees trick wire on the old ECU? Or heat from mounting an S3 inside an original case? I wouldn't run all the power for the Haltech through the trick wire. You just need the activation power. The main power would have to come from an appropriately fat feed. I wouldn't think you could fit the plastic body of a Haltech inside an original ECU case. They're pretty compact these days, but I don't think they're that compact.
