lwells - iam on the confirmed list twice, might wanna fix that dude

Also waiting on a PM about credit card payment details when you have them

Whoops, fixed ;)

Re Credit Cards and boost controllers, I will email Nengun tomorrow. I am wrecked for tonight ;)

Lucien.

I would definately be in, but unfortunately my pay week falls on the following week, if for some reason there is a delay by a week then I am in ;)

Please let me know if this is the case Lucien?

Edit: I'm in now if he will accept CC payments, any additional charges if paying by CC?

Im interested in the Power FC and the boost controller as a package deal. I have an S14 silvia (late 1994 series 1 200SX). I also need to find out if I can use my CC.

TIA,

Mike.

Hi Guys,

Just walked in the door and I see I have a number of PMs, emails and posts to reply to (what a change!)

I have to zap out for a community meeting type thing, so please don't think I am ignoring you. I will try to reply to everyone later tonight (probably about 10-11pm).

Thanks for your understanding guys (and all the kind words in the emails/PMs). Makes all the organisation worthwhile. :(

Lucien.

That's ok.... by the way has the confirmed buyers went up from 16? I'm referring to the first post as I suppose that's the one to update to maintain the list. 4 days left and hope we can get the group buy happening...

hey man hows it goin

with the pfc's

i saw some dude post i wish they worked on autos

dont they work on autos?

what price are they usually

i have a r33 gtst s1 1993

but i wont have the cash this time round

as im doin intercooler and split dump pipe

next time will be in for sure ?

any info regardin this and or where i can find good info bout these

would be good

thanks?

power fc will work in auto car but it will not communicate with the auto transmission controller therefore gear changes will be jerky and cause excess wear on the gearbox.

it will work in the sense the engine will start and run, but it wont be a good/safe option as it will wear out the gearbox with jerky changes. piggy back ecu's seem to be the only good working option with auto skylines etc, unless you get the stock ecu chipped

usual price is $1150 odd from nengun delievered

Okie dokies.

THE LIST HAS BEEN UPDATED: PLEASE CHECK YOU ARE CORRECTLY LISTED

I had planned to email Nengun again today, but I am extremely tired at its already 11:45pm, so I will do it first thing tomorrow with a clear head. I should hopefully get some information clarrifying payments (Credit Cards, timeframe, etc) and pricing (further discounts, boost controllers, etc). I will obviously keep you all informed.

I will also shortly contact the next batch of people who have expressed interest.

Edit: Whoopsie, I forgot to mention that I will be closing off confirmation of orders on Thursday 25 November @ 10PM AEST. The reason for the slight change is that it will allow me to have all details done and sent to Nengun by about 11PM on Thursday leaving Friday to sought out payment, etc, rather than having people still confirming then.

Shane: I am still waiting for word on credit cards. I will contact Nengun again.

SpecS15: good to see that registering finally worked :D You have been added.

rs73: 19 confirmed, plus waiting on a reply from a couple of other (very) likely people.

SiVaK: These are the Toyota PFC models available as part of this group buy:

TOYOTA

MR2 SW20 93/10-99/10 3S-GTE PFC 414-T001 H/C 415-T001

MARK 2, CHASER, CRESTA JZX100 96/9-01/7 1JZ-GTE PFC 414-T011 H/C 415-X001 / PFC 414-T009 H/C 415-X002 Automatic

ALTETZIA SXE10 98/10-01/4 3S-GE PFC 414-T006 H/C 415-X001

CELICA ZZT231 99/9- 2ZZ-GE PFC 414-T007 H/C 415-X001

MR-S ZZW30 99/10- 1ZZ-FE PFC 414-T008 H/C 415-X001

PFC 414-T012 H/C 415-T001 Apexi Turbo kit

bazr33: as paulr33 noted, PFCs do not work with (Nissans) auto gearboxes ;) Your best bet is a Greddy emanage (check the thread in "Forced Induction Performance" -- its pinned at the top).

Lucien.

Hi Everyone,

I have just replied to all the PMs and emails. The list has also been updated: the big news is that we have cracked the 20 confirmed order mark.

I am now writing an email to Nengun to clarrify some of the issues raised. I had hoped to do this early today, but my net connection has been very unstable so I have spent most of the morning tinkering with it.

Edit: Email to Nengun has been sent.

A couple of people have been concerned about security. First off, by providing your banking details you make it easier to identify your payment and issue a refund if need be. Secondly, I (or anyone else) cannot simply withdraw funds from your account with the details you have provided: I (or whoever) would need your PIN and/or to forge your signature to do that. Finally, I fully intend to destroy the list once payments and deliveries have been made: you have my word on that.

The following people who have expressed interest should check their PM/email: BLUKIE, BLK R33 GTST, -KK-, Shane and TUF-200. If I have missed you, please contact me.

Blitz: check your PM mate.

Lucien.

I will definitely confirm if we can sort out a discount on the boost controllers, or a further discount on the Power FCs, otherwise I'm not sure yet. Just letting you know.

And when do you get your 32, Lucien?

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
