meh i figure they can have the nats the jap cars are always way out numbered last year i think i saw like 2 lines. plus a bit muscle cars is nice sometimes :( not the crappy commonewhores u see on the streets all the time :) ones with real power

Goran was in it last year, and he shutup a few of the bogans when he let the wheels rip after some smart ass comments so i was told. but there wont be many there, jap cars really aren't well received at the nats, and the ones that go run a risk of having their cars damaged, read: brake fluid in water pistols, sprayed on the paint.

but i'll be there with bells on, if i still have my R33 by then it will be staying at home for that week, cops go crazy defecting us and i really dont want the hassle.

  • Thanks 1

I know of one BIG hitter that may be ready in time(read:2.7l RB26DETT,T51R,blue bottle in the boot...).That WILL tear the backside out of all challengers,I do believe. But I agree with Sinista32:AutoSalon and the Jamboree is our thing, really.I'm partial to anything that's "got nuts"(from a '55 Chev to a Series 8 RX7;anything goes as long as it GOES),but the 'Nats are really L.C.D.-Lowest Common Denominator- when it comes to respect,I.Q. and understanding of tough cars...Sure,a 1000hp Commonwhore is impressive on the dyno. It'd be way more impressive if you could drive it every day, turn laps around a track in good time, have it turn-key reliable AND have it legally on the road...THAT'S why I love 'Lines!!

I can you all now i'll be there for at least the weekend, but my car won't. i hardly think it's worthy, being completely stock and no one knows what the heclk it is.

Should be a good weekend though, plenty of nice cars, and braddon will be chockers afterwards.

I told you its your fuel man, its got a nasty whole...

could also be your g/box, engine, turbo, drive shaft, exhaust, ecu, boost contoller. I'd start some where there...

:cuss:

come on guys big :grouphug: for nic, its just a bad run of luck is all.

:Bang:

I'll be there again. Hopefully the cops are a bit more relaxed on Braddon as the Nats at the beginning of this year was disappointing compared with the year before.

I seen about 20 Skylines last year but I go to the Nats for the throaty v8 burnouts and the women (all 3 of them that showed their tits last year haha).

Hopefully the weather is nice and not too hot. I might take my work van, throw a mattress in the back and sleep in that.

I seen one chick with 3. Tasmanian I reckon.....lol But ay it was a good night just the same..He he he

lol yea me and the gf went last year maybe not such a wise move but hey i had fun and so did she but i have learnt my lesson if you take your women don't walk past the VB stand lol

    • What are you planning to do specifically?  I would be very surprised if you need to learn any math for these 'few builds' you have planned for the future.
    • I transferred from full time service to Army Reserve, so I still have access, work has been super keen to get me in to work in the OPS realm, so just turning up to use the gym......and ovens, isn't causing any issues, apart from me needing to keep on telling them that I won't be doing any reserve days until I get my joint in Goulburn sorted  Basically I can now work whenever I want, for how long I want now, and it's all tax free Next time we have some fires or floods you might see me covered in mud, or cutting sick in some plant equipment cleaning up, the Reserves love getting in the news, LOL
    • Final finish outcome of 80°c was typical to the pics, I've turned the oven down to 50°c and will pick them up after the gym tomorrow  The before and after difference was amazing, the wrinkle paint has covered all of the casting marks completely It did take a couple of hours to key it all and get in all of the crevices, but, for me it was time well spent for the final outcome, but I have all the time in the world to do it at the moment  Ended up with 4 coats, each sprayed at different angles to get optimal coverage and thickness As for the fixtures and intake box thingo that hasn't made it, the supplier is apparently posting the fixtures, and, are now sending a different CAI that is in stock The replacement CAI is actually better than what I originally ordered, but will require a pod filter that locates under the front bar, still serviceable, but it basically removes the whole OEM filter box and ducts into the front bar, so filter cleaning will require ramps and the removal of some front bar undertray, not a war stopper, just some ramps and an additional 10 minutes work every few months From looking at it it is made from alloy pipe from the throttle body, through the CAI hole in the rad support, then right turning under the bar, luckily the wrinkle paint was on special and I got 2 cans for $30ish, so the alloy will get the same wrinkle treatment as the intake manifold, hopefully it turns up soon, either way, the car will be getting booked in soon, if the parts aren't here, I'll just get MX5 Mania to " make it work"
    • I'm so glad base security is so high. I see they stopped some random codger from being able to just wander in off the street... 😛   PS, intake looks good!
    • So far so good, another hour and their done
