I test drove a few R33's down there when I was looking for my car. I didn't end up buying from there, but the cars and the guy I dealt with (think his name was Christophe) seemed genuine. Only reason I didn't buy from then was because I found a very neat example advertised privately for less $$$, otherwise I would have bought from there...much better than some of the shonks you hear about on Parra Rd etc.

Yeah I know what you mean about parra road. I went down there and the 2 R34s I looked at looked like they were genuine, and Ben the guy I spoke to was helpful and knew what he was talking about. Looks like I might be going down there to get my skyline once I sell the Mustang.

Northshore prestige is ok, My mate was looking for an R33 and he test drove one from there and they gave him the keys and didnt go with him in the test drive. You should have seen the rubber he left on the road!

btw how much for the mustang? is it the one if your sig?

My mate bought an R33 S2 from those guys - no problems. He managed to talk em down 2.5K and he got em to put on a 3" exhaust. Not sure on how much warranty he got but.

They looked after him good and 5 months later his car is still going fine. Id recommend.

:)

talk to the guys at envy imports www.envyimports.com.au the guys there were really good, and the chick sounded really hot on the phone. when i was looking at my r33 i was on parra road looking at 180sx's i wanted to take one for a test drive and the guys there wanted a 20% deposit. i was like u have to be kidding. ok ill take my 20k somewhere else thank you very much.... no commission for u !!

thats my mustang in the sig, I'm looking for around 35K for it.

Firstly, and sorry for the hi-jack, that is one tasty looking 'stang. One of them will be in my garage one day. Just that it's pretty full at the moment!

I've never bought a car from prestige, but I looked at one of their soarers at Autosalon yesterday. Their campaign girl saw me looking and came over, I told her that I'd just bought a soarer, but she was still very friendly (and hot as!) and we chatted for a few mins. I think the fact that they bother to get involved in the scene (by going to SAS) is a good sign, and I've heard nice things about them.

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
