hehe, yeah there is a place here stateside that will test oil for whats floating around in it......

yeah im using the emanage to fork with the maf signal (which it does do well) but since the ecu has an agressive timing map (actualy on the ecu) forking around with the maf voltage makes it feel terrible if i do it too much.

if i dont use the emanage to correct it runs too lean due to the timing map...... so its a catch 22 untill i can get the biki rom where i can see where i am on the maps.

there isnt that much correction on the map like +10 pts which isnt too terribly much but its enough to fork with the signal enough to really make it feel weird.

from what it looks like i might be able to get full boost at 4k assuming i can add fuel in the right spots (which i cant do with the emanage right now) and it should have a fairly beast/wide power curve if i can get it that way......

i will let you guys know my results tho for sure, because once the car spools its frightenly quick.

OK, so what you are doing is richening up the A/F ratios with the EManage, this retards the igntion timing and so it feels sluggish. Unusual situation, 99% of the time we are trying to lean out the A/F ratios by bending the AFM output voltage.

What I would do is increase the fuel pressure (adjustable FPR) so that I didn't need the EManage to make it richer. I would adjust the fuel pressure for 12 to 1 A/F ratio at the max power RPM. Then use the EManage to tune the other RPM load points. This will remove the need for large amounts of voltage bending by the EManage and retain some semblance of normal ignition timing.

If I couldn't get the injectors to flow enough at the higher fuel pressure to achieve the 12 to 1 A/F ratio , then chances are the injectors will be too small regardless of what ECU I am using. So upgrading the injectors is the next step.

Hope that was of some help

 cheers :D

Hi Guys Ran my R32 gtst with a friends R32 both rb20dets just thought you'd like to see the results first time ive run at the drags in over 25 years and yes im on old fart but going fast never gets outa your system anywat clutch started slipping on the next runn so had to call it a night might have gotten better with a bit more practice

Cheers Peter

Hi Cubes

Power is 238kw and running rb25 box and the tyres are m/t et street drove there and back with them on

Yogi000

the turbo is still the prob at the moment runs out of flow by 6800rpm new turbo on order Gt3040r that will improve the top end hopefully

Cheers Peter

I cant read the time slip???

Time for some reading glasses mate!

Try this one, I touched it up a little

Great times BTW, one tough RB20!

Damn...im running more mph but 6 tenths slower...lol i can t drive my car off the line for love or money:(

The answer is;

the tyres are m/t et street

:P Cheers :D

Hi Guys

both cars are R32s both rb20dets mine's running the et streets the other was running Hooser semi slicks

Roy

I ran higher mph on street tyres but 1.5 second slower times

i think it might have something to do with tyre dia as the m/t's were 26x10.5x16 "si just fried the street tyres 1st ,2nd and 3rd

Cheers Peter

Hey legend would you mind posting up what modifications you've done to your car to get it to 238rwkw? And also your mates car if you know.... those are some awesome times. Very impressed with that 60ft time from a rwd.

Please run an 11 on a stock RB20:)

I cant recall reading if you are using the std gearbox? What clutch and diff is in the girl.

After the last track day in late October i want to hit the drags, my housemates poo RB25 thingie ran 0.1sec quicker then me, (but 3mph slower) cant have the quickest car in the house being an RB25:)

    • Hi. This is just my curiosity because iam sure the tuner figure something out...but either way i want to ask. The "problem" is that the Nistune ECU (Stagea FW and RB25DET NEO from Stagea) sees many times the speed than the speedo does(he says the speedo show 120 km/h - correct speed and the ECU shows like 510km/h ) I told him that this car/tranny getting speed from rear diff. If iam not mistaken the RB25DET NEO "need" to see tranny speed sensor? (my tranny has the plug for it). So couple of "question" If he connects/wire the speed sensor to the tranny...are the signals gonna intervene and if...what if he disconnects the rear diff one and the speedo stops working? Or the "new" sensor from the tranny "take over" and will not going need the one from diff? As i said i know he figure/get that done...iam just curious to know what are the solutions 🙂
    • Your IACV is set to idle too low. You need to adjust it via the screw Duncan mentioned. From memory it should be 650rpm with the valve electrics unplugged. What is it trying to idle at with the IACV plugged in?
    • Ahhh, I need the whole head unit. I definitely needed to roll back through and review your setup, ha ha! Neat setup they have going on. I just need a full double din head unit. But I want good and responsive. I might have to review what the likes of pioneer have out these days.
    • Ok so after much research and talking with knowledgeable people I've got my turbo conversion done and it's all running great other than 1 small issue.  Car has remained auto with the na auto and tcm, I've used a stagea ecu with. NIstune board and everything is great other than my gear selection on the dash. It illuminates park, reverse, neutral, 3rd and 2nd. But nothing drive or what gear your in when you pop it into tiptronic.  I'm sure there is may e 1 wire in the ecu plug I need to move to rectify this. Dose anyone here have any ideas?   Cheers guys
    • Sorry I haven't been following all the detail, so you may have tried this. Does it idle with the tiniest bit of throttle you can add? You've mentioned the IACV, does it have an AAC valve and have you adjusted it at all (ie, screw the idle adjust screw all the way in, then back it out a couple of turns until idle is stable)?
