Just thought i would add my experiences with nengun.

I've been using nengun for the past 2 years i've bought a few k worth of gear from brent for my mr2 and i have also bought parts for numerous other cars for my mechanic.

I've never been hassled by customs nor had to pay any custom duties.

Brent has always delivered with no problems at all. What happened to you Ghostrider is not brents fault he did more then any supplier I know off would have done even going to the extent of wrapping it in christmas paper.

Only issue i ever had with customs was when i bought 5k worth of gear from the US, that time i got the courtesy call from customs in syd where it was being held I struck to the story

Hi Ghostrider, welcome to Australia. Did you know we have customs laws here?

I wouldn't bother listening to Ghostrider he's an old whinging bastard. Looks like nengun did everything they could anyway.

I've seen him on the forums before being an angry mofo.

Thanks for the referrence b005t,

By you referring to that thread just proves the insignificance of your mind. Everyone but you understood the implied body of that thread, maybe you should take a long hard look in the mirror before you start ripping it up someone, other than just follow like a sheep would his master.

As for an "old whinging bastard" that's not correct as my parents were married before I was born. Your obvious lack of comprehension of our english language is just another vivid example of your state of mind.

You have a lot of living to do, and when you do get stung by import taxes and you get upset, just remember these threads and how you just want to stick it up everyone.

In this and the other thread you referred to, you haven't made ONE (1) constructive comment that has or could have come out of your mind. You have just got on the band wagon with others, or in the other thread, tried to stir shit as it has been put.

Have a nice day!

You really should be taking it out on customs and not Nengun.

No he shouldn't. You want to import, you should pay all taxes or be happy when your goods aren't pinged. Don't like the import taxes? Move country, lobby government, etc, etc: don't whinge.

LW.

haha.

I can take it, however, you still had to pay taxes; so at the end of the day I am just a guy who didn't re-read his post before clicking reply.

While you may be laughing at my "self righteous illiterate" comments, I will be laughing at the fact you think you can evade the law and cry "bad service, why me" at everyone when you don't get away with it! I know who is better off in the end, i have little egg on my face but you have a lighter wallet.

Thanks for the referrence b005t,

the stirring is justified

the bangwagon is correct

you got owned by customs

those tissues are on their way , use them properly, id hate to see you pay customs on something your not going to use.

alot of living doesnt cover attempting to fraud the australian customs department.

waaaaaaaa waaaaaaaaaa waaaaaaaaa

I wonder how many of the smart ass comments are coming from people that have actually done the business.

It is a funny thing, that I have received about half dozen PM's from people that have dealt with Nengun, the goods ordered have failed to arrive, yet NO refund of monies is being provided.

Funny thing that eh!!!! but everybody is sticking it to me.

Also, if all of you loquacious imbeciles bothered to read my posts, you would see I have accepted responsibility for my actions, and I know what I have done, etc, etc, I'm not crying over anything, but trying to inform others of some of the pitfalls that they may encounter, but nobody sees this, they just grab any oportunity to stick the boot in.

I thought people on this forum were intelligent, but by the replies on this thread, I'm very much mistaken. Maybe we should rename this as Infant Skylines Australia, as that would be more befitting the brain power.

my i.q is 138, just incase you wondered what my brain power is. i know thats only infant spec, but apparently its not bad? you could use one of your days off from knitting or bagging nengun to check this for me

unfortunately, unlike you , who is 54 and is retired, i dont have time to sit in front of a thesaurus to look up big words to make me look important or intellegent.

what i do have time for , however, is for replying to your continued decision to drag names through mud

youve got half dozen pm's? WOW!!! OMG ULLEH!

how many users does this forum have? worked it out as a precentage? when you do you will see that your support base is lower then a priest on trial for sexual assult.

id say you wernt mistaken when you thought ppl on here are smart, but you where mistaken when you thought the tissues would come out for your cause. you tried to rort, but got rorted

if your so burnt by this one event in your 50 billion years of life experience take them to court, fight the fight, justice for all , kit kats for the kids, and all that.

live with it.

ppl lose out in life every day, they get over it. follow thier lead sir ( i only call you sir because i repsect my elders)

p.s i dont care if my spelling isnt correct as i cant find my dictionary.. can i get it back off you?

p.p.s - please dont ban me again for this ash.

and i think that'll just about wrap this thread up..

AND HE IS A SPONSOR OF OUR FORUM,

Shell, you asked recently in a letter "do we use our sponsors?"

With sponsors like this, how do we have them at all.

just for the record Dennis, the survey we sent out was referring to (and actually listed) the sponsors of the nsw club NOT the sponsors of this forum..

Nengun is not a sponsor of the club.

    • Apologies for the long post, but needed somewhere to lay out the entire timeline of events and actions taken:   I've got an 89 GTR with a R34 RB in it. It's been running great all year, driven probably 500KM in the last month. It's not my daily driver, just a weekend fun car.    Build info: R34 RB26 - HKS 2.7 stroker kit, HKS adjustable cam gears, HKS turbo upgrades, Trust intercooler, R34 factory DENSO 440cc injectors, JUN chipped/tuned R32 ECU. All of this work was performed in Japan back in 2019.    Thursday 10/2/25 - It's a nice day and decided I'll drive it to work, I start it up in the garage and I notice it took a few extra cranks and sounded a bit funny. I figure maybe it was just because it was a pretty chilly morning. I pull it out into the driveway to warm up a bit before leaving. As I leave the driveway, it feels very off and sounds like a misfire. I pull it back in the garage to deal with after work and take the daily to work. I was able to diagnose it as a cylinder 5 misfire with the old spark plug test (unplugging each plug until a sound change with the engine running). I take off the whole ignition system, ignitor, plugs, spark. *Important note, it is still on the R32 ignition system with the separate ignitor system. I test each system with a multi-meter and nothing presents as a smoking gun. I put it all back together and it starts up no issue. I go ahead and order the PRP R35 ignition conversion kit. It should arrive today (10/13/25)   Friday 10/3/25 - Another nice day, car starts up great and drives great all day. Very pleased that everything seems to be OK   Sunday 10/5/25 - Decided I'll take it to play some golf, load up and drive to the course about 25 minutes away. Drives wonderful the whole way there, I pull in the parking lot and the engine completely comes to a stop. I do not recall if it sputtered at all, but just remember all of the sudden the engine was off. I roll it into a parking spot, try to crank it back on and nothing.  It'll crank and crank and not even try to start. End up getting it towed back to my house and push it up into the garage.    Items I have checked: Fuel in the tank Fuel Pump relay Fuel pump fuse  Spark Plugs & gap Coil packs Ignitor    I know the cylinders are getting fuel as the plugs smell like fuel after a start attempt. I tried spraying starter fluid into the manifold and cranking and not even a sputter.    I decided to do the live CAS test (removing the the CAS, ignition on and spinning the CAS stalk to see if the injectors pulse and spark is active). All of the injectors were pulsing and I have spark at the plug. The half-moon end of the CAS did seem very loose, I'm not sure how much play is supposed to be there, but it was more than I expected. There was no in/out play of the shaft, just the tip end that is pinned on had quite a bit of play.    CAS Play video   When I put the CAS back in, I stupidly did not re-time the engine. I know I need to do that tonight, however, I do not think it will start given it seemingly was not the issue. My plan is to do the PRP R35 coil kit and retime the engine at the same time.    I plan on ordering the Haltech Nexus Plug-in ECU once they are available again, but ideally would like to get this sorted before firing the parts cannon at it and potentially adding more variables.    Anything glaring that I am missing here, I'm a bit at a loss?
    • Get it on a dyno. Get something logging Consult. Run it up and find out what is causing it.
