Ok. So out of 30 people 11 have been and done. I guess I've learned a lesson and I will never allow confirmation without deposit again.

New available dates for bookings.

Tuesday 19 April.

Saturday 30 April.

Friday 20 May.

If you haven't booked with Robert for one of these days or another suitable to both of you then you will miss out. This gives people another month which is more than enough considering it has been nearly three months already.

There are two people in Iraq so they have excuses. If your airconditioning doesn't work it doesn't matter anymore because it's no longer summer.

Get it happening guys. We are all busy. By having this many no shows we are collectively ripping this guy off because the discount was based on volume. I don't rip people off.

I agree with you, but our skyline is currently being fixed by the car yard who has ripped us off!!! and we will hopefully pick it up tomorrow, the two trucks are on the road and it is extreamly difficult to get all 3 together as you would imagine especially when they have to be undercover.

If he doesnt mind doing one at a time then that would be ok

please pm/e-mail me his number again

thanks

Big thanks to both Robert and Adam - had my windows tinted at 5am this morning in 5%. Robert tells me to wait a week before making final judgement (for the water to evaporate etc), but so far everyone who has seen the car has loved it!

Thanks!!!

Hey Abo Bob,

soon as i get my car on the road i'm heading over to robert...i've spoken to him and told him of my situation. The car is currently at grey and he should have it for me by friday i hope.

Sorry for the huge delays.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I was doing a seach on 'tinting' is there still any deals going on?

I'm interested in getting my car tinted but don't know if it's too late for this one.

I need to get my drivers window tinting redone. :)

My car was broken into and had various things such as my Momo wheel horncap and JVC heaudnit stolen, and my window tinting scratched. UGH. UGH.

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
