r34 gtt engine

Recommended Posts

crack.

Only VVT on inlet cam. Exhaust is still simple pulley.

the VVT is a constantly variable style, insted of Two step like the R33

Completly different head casting, uncompatible with previous ones, higher compression, lots of things..

this has been covered heaps before, try a search including the words "Neo Straight 6"

Its just a plastic engine cover on the R34 GTT engines, they're still RB25DET's except with the features crack listed

Its so gay how they put big engine covers on all new cars these days... you pop the bonnet of a new monaro & all you see is plastic... OWww thats good...:thumbdwn:

I see, so they implemented it preety good then nissan...

If a car has good tyres and good balance, i don't really see why traction control is neccesary, its all about throttle control.

Obviously your old girl, just tramps it all the time, you have to tell her it isn't a hyundai :D

While we are on the subject, how good is the traction control on them, a worthy feature or bit of a gimmick? i.e. just for dodgy drivers or is it beneficial

I think anyone who really likes driving & pushing their car to its limits will like no traction control, no HICAS, & no electronically assisted actions. Its good to know how the car will react when you corner, brake, & throttle from your own body movements. My r33 gtst suits me best with no traction control & an aftermarket 2way LSD installed spreading the power 50/50 makes the rear predictable too :)

BUT Most people arnt like me & simply drive cars to get from A to B so this is when traction control in the r34 is good.

RB30

I'd never let my Mum drive my car.

She'd have a heart attack as soon as she hit the throttle.

My old girl has driven my turbo car from time to time.

I find turbo cars, really safe, in a turbo you only get power when you open it up heaps, a grumpy v8 on the other hand....

Spot on mate, I'd prefer most of it gone on the track but daily driving in the wet it's a god sent. Although with my hard suspension setup i drive with it off in the dry as it's too sensative.

Bass - I agree, the Neo engine looks sucky under that cover....
