well, given that you can import them for about $20-22k landed + $1-2k compliance & rego. Then $25k sounds about right for a road registered gtr in really good condition.

http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/au/st...sp?StockID=2847 is a very good example

Prices will go up if 15 year import rule changes though. And you'll probaly get more advertising on carsales.com.au or in trading post or something.

I rekon you should sell it for the price that you think is fare to you. If you have spent money on the car and you have maintained it then you would know what its worth . What you must keep in mind as other owners , you must not go to low and im sure if your patient and advertise enough you will get what your after .If you drop to low on the price you loose money and damage the cars present market value forcing other sellers with the same car to bring down their prices also.

Damn straight, that happened in Mackay a coulple of years back, A few people sold there cars real cheap and people then had this warped perception that a nice 33 with mods wasn't worth $20K. I'd be looking at anywhere around the $28K mark for it.

Ok awurth, we have a client interested and would have to fly over to look.

So was the car repainted here in or Japan, what mileage is showing on the speedo, do you believe it to be accurate, how long have you owned it, has it been serviced or checked by a quality workshop?

A few questions I know but Qld is a long way from WA and have to know if we are even in the ballpark.

Cheers

Ken

car was painted in OZ, speedo is about 68'000klms, not sure i really beleive any speedo from japan but I have had a good look at the car and the drive train and motor are all very good nick. Have had it for about 4 months. cars been serviced by me. I still don't have the trimmings and for this price I don't think i'll replace the Cooler. That's a long way to fly just to look at the car.

Awurth, I flew to Melbourne early last year and bought a Burgundy R32 GTR plus bought an R34GTR from Queensland just before Christmas( 03sym plates).

Is only a $600 round trip.

Why was the car repainted and do you have the original auction sheet?

Would have to get a cylinder leakage/compression test done on it before a price was negotiated. How far from Gavin Woods Technology are you , I think he is in Labrador.

Cheers

Ken

I am 10 hours north of brisbane if that gives you an idea. two hours inland from mackay. I can do a compression test on it and let you know the results. I bought it off the guy who imported it who lost interest in it so i don't haver auction sheet and he's not very help full so I don't reckon i will get it either. was repainted cause the two front panels, bonnet and boot where different colours and I couldn't be bothered trying to match up calsonic blue so I went with bayside.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
