Hi ppls,

Its time for some suspension work.

Could some one please be so kind as to grab a quick measurement of their R32 that has been fitted with the Whiteline spring/shocker's.

Just the usual center of the wheel to the guard both front and rear.

I really don't want to lower my R32 as I quite like the standard height + it will hopefully deter the boys in blue from hassling me.

Standard height on mine is 370mm for the rear and 365mm for the front.

Whiteline state in their catalogue 350mm for the front and 345mm for the rear.

Rear is lower than the front??? I really don't like the idea of owning a wog (I'm half wog) arse dragging along the ground looking car. (A V8 Statesman young hoon lowered look comes to mind)

These measurements will always be not quite spot on once fitted to the car, I am keen to know if they really are the true measurements.

Thanks peoples.

I suggest you have a close look at your car and you will notice that the front gaurds are cut higher than the rear guards. The angle of the sill determines whether the car is nose up or down, not the centre of wheel to guard measurement. There should be around 10 mm of fall to the front (ie; the sill just behind the front wheel should be 10 mm closer to the ground than the sill just in front of the rear wheel).

Hope that helps

Roy, what is that in mm from the centre to the guard?

Mine looks similar to that. I think mine is 345mm front and 350mm back.

I have no idea what suspension my car has but it doesn't feel right. The ride is not firm at all.

There should be around 10 mm of fall to the front (ie; the sill just behind the front wheel should be 10 mm closer to the ground than the sill just in front of the rear wheel).

If it's 'fall to the front', shouldn't that be 'the sill behind the front wheel should be 10mm higher than the sill in front of the wheel'. I might be missing something though...

    • Agreed, I've never seen a 260RS specific manual. As GTSBoy said it will mostly be stagea other than the engine loom https://www.hgeconsulting.com.au/stageaservicemanual.pdf
    • You'lll likely have to make do with R33 GTR for engine/tranny stuff, and Stagea for the body. I don't know that there's even been an actual diagram seen in the wild.
    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
