tang0
it means your turbo is blowing some oil through the inlet tracts ... some1 correct me if i'm wrong here, but tis possible that the oil seals on the compressor side of the tubby are leaking oil and its blowing it through your intercooler, when your bov releases the pressure, that small amount of oil in the inlet tract gets vented to atmosphere .. onbiously not much oil, but over time it will build up ... just me 2c Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/62234-oil-from-bov/#findComment-1173707 Share on other sites

R31Nismoid
also blowby. on a stock car is feeds back into the intake of the turbo.... hance going through your system. You need a catch can maybe... also you might be down on some comp in a cyclinde (rebuild time soon) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/62234-oil-from-bov/#findComment-1173786 Share on other sites

T88 ON BOARD
I suggest firstly hook up a catch can see if it stops it Had similar problems with a wrx but because of running to much boost... try that out Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/62234-oil-from-bov/#findComment-1173804 Share on other sites
R31Nismoid
just get a leak down test done. tell you right off, if your running 9psi its not looking good. But if leak down is ok, then turbo. I think leak-down would be better than pulling the turbo off, well... cheaper Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/62234-oil-from-bov/#findComment-1173813 Share on other sites
tang0
if you have to replace the turbo, you can get some good secondhand tubbys on this site for around the 400 mark, to replace with a highflow version you're looking about 2k to replace the engine, best bet is to purchase an engine from someone like justjap, roughly 3k ??? R31Nismoid
rebuild would be the GO, put forgies in there Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/62234-oil-from-bov/#findComment-1173896 Share on other sites
FATGTS-R
I had the exact same problem and it was the turbo seal. I guess you could remove the pipe from the turbo and see if there is oil build up before the breather pipe plumbs in to verify if its turbo or not. DHK
went for around a 40 minute drive, warry of the police on double demerit hunt... and looked at the bov afterwards... and there isn't any oil on it... so i am assuming that is is only a minor problem for now... planning on getting a leak down test and compression test done? how much would this roughly set me back? and can any workshop do it? if tests show fine i guess i will install a catch can... if tests show some kind of fault.. i will go from there? how much would UAS charge for a compression n leak test? as i work across the road... so can dro pthe car of in the morning, and pick up after work Also a catch can wil cost around the $100 mark from my knowledge? any suggestions on brands/types/ where to go for installation around hills area? R31Nismoid
check turbo inlet, if oil there go a leakdown test first. Mine had HEAPS of oil in the turbo inlet when my motor was dying Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/62234-oil-from-bov/#findComment-1174080 Share on other sites
DHK
to check the turbo inlet do i disconect the inlet @ the turbo... or can i check the pipe further away from the turbo, so it will be less of a pian in the ass to check?
