Rodney takes out the "Wierd things to ask a drunken person claiming to be a policeman" with these GEMS:

"So have you always been on the QLD force?"

And who can forget

"Is it true NSW cops are stricter than QLD cops?"

:)

You are a brave man Rodney!

I went home from the car park and half the cruise followed me!! My uhf is shagged so I couldn't even tell them they were going the wrong way.

I was one of them! I was following about 3 other cars i think. I had a great night. I think i went on every road within a 100km radius of the area and was getting directions from 3 different people and ended up in Beaudesert! It was great! Thanks to James (charly) for trying to give me directions. Hope all had a great night, cause i got mega lost lol.

33NIZ will post the photos of my dodgy cooler job later ;o)

Yeah, it was good fun, lucky I was right in the middle of the "not lost" pack.

That cop was funny as, repeating everything and tripping over his words, in true pissed bastard style! I wish the uniforms had turned up, I could not believe he was standing there telling us we were up to no good when he was obviously pissed and planning on driving home.

I feel so much better knowing he is out there serving and protecting the community!?!?!?

This was classic:

Knore: "your drunk" (turns away)

Pissed Cop: "You don't tuuurrn-way, I'll aarrest uuur and you'll spend the night in the lockaaarrp!

Knore: "I'm calling the real cops"

Pissed cop: Naaarrr, mate... mate..... look... I ... I like you car....

Best backflip in attitude I've ever seen in a cop.

im not going to coment, you all underestimate the power of the rod!!!!!

maybe someone hired the copper to strip for us but he did get a chance, oh well he has my plates hopefully he will come to my house for a freebi:)

sex bomb sex bomb...............

He doesn't have mine either :D

What a fun night. The cruise itself was alright, but the most entertaining part was arriving at the carpark and nearly getting into a punchup with a drunk midget :D

He would've been a braver/more idiotic man than I if he'd started picking on one person in the middle of a huge group :) Besides, he was such a shortarse that had he felt the need to act all macho I reckon we could've done the movie-style thing where you push on the guy's forehead and they take air swings :)

Once away from the group he seemed reasonable enough, but geez did he have tickets on himself... :P

If he really was a cop, he most definitely was not doing the police force an PR favours in my eyes. He was rude, arrogant, self-centred, and got stroppy when confronted with perfectly reasonable questions. Idiot. And regardless of whether he really was a cop or not, the fact that the real ones didn't turn up when called repeatedly by multiple people about someone impersonating a police officer, didn't exactly make us warm to them either... sad. I bet if someone chirped the tyres over a white line or something they would've been there in an instant...

yous do realise if the real cops?on duty cops did come we would have all probably been defected?????????

im not going to coment, you all underestimate the power of the rod

Rodney your the man :P

yous do realise if the real cops?on duty cops did come we would have all probably been defected?????????

Blah blah blah. Could you possibly be any weaker? I'm guessing you were one of the people who ran away last time at the sight of one cop car with the two hot female officers in it.

In fact I know you were.

I had fun last night "fixing" steve's intercooler mount. :P And with the five minute discussion about who was going to yell out the "we go live in five" crap.

Also who in the hell was the person in the dark coloured r32 (either black or blue) which had all four tail lights on all the time, who was whining like a big girl that we were all driving too fast? OWN UP NOW. I am not referring to iopia because he was behind me.

Yeah rodney you are the man. rock on.

the last cruise i were the last to leave out of the group that left that night

i came over and asked the group where everyone went to someone said bunnings so i left

and last night i were actually one of the last to leave last night and i were the first one to approach the cop and find out why he was writing plates down while everyone else was talking about doing it

so who is weak now

Oh slide....... http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=punctuation

You're (capital letter y because it's the start of the sentence and an apostrophe to indicate a contraction) not a very articulate keyboard warrior are you? (question mark; indicates a question requiring a response)

:slap:

pfffffft

meh

hows that punctuation

wtf is your problem when did you leave last night

Less talk more pics of dodgy intercooler install....and once again that cop was ghey coz he had no need to start writing down plates after a night out on the drink and had the real cops have come its highly unlikely they would have given a sh*t about us being there..its basicly the middle of nowhere, they want us out there, not in surfers so i doubt defects would have been handed out! Would have been ok is if he came and gave a small talk to the group saying "dont do skids blah blah blah"... but he wanted to act tough, he stood in front of eug's car when he tried to park, he tried to fight some ppl and he threatend knore with legal things of which he had no power as he was off duty and in no state to make decisions.....He took it too far and we wanted him in trouble hence why the real cops were called and we wanted him to wait until they arrived...evidentaly they didnt because they probably had more important things to do such as comb their hair or something.

    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
    • If as it's stalling, the fuel pressure rises, it's saying there's less vacuum in the intake manifold. This is pretty typical of an engine that is slowing down.   While typically is agree it sounds fuel related, it really sounds fuel/air mixture related. Since the whole system has been refurbished, including injectors, pump, etc, it's likely we've altered how well the system is delivering fuel. If someone before you has messed with the IACV because it needed fiddling with as the fuel system was dieing out, we need to readjust it back. Getting things back to factory spec everywhere, is what's going to help the entire system. So if it idles at 400rpm with no IACV, that needs raising. Getting factory air flow back to normal will help us get everything back in spec, and likely help chase down any other issues. Back on IACV, if the base idle (no IACV plugged in) is too far out, it's a lot harder for the ECU to control idle. The IACV duty cycle causes non linear variations in reality. When I've tuned the idle valves in the past, you need to keep it in a relatively narrow window on aftermarket ecus to stop them doing wild dances. It also means if your base idle is too low, the valve needs to open too much, and then the smallest % change ends up being a huge variation.
    • I guess one thing that might be wrong is the manifold pressure.  It is a constant -5.9 and never moves even under 100% throttle and load.  I would expect it to atleast go to 0 correct?  It's doing this with the OEM MAP as well as the ECU vacuum sensor. When trying to tune the base map under load the crosshairs only climb vertically with RPM, but always in the -5.9 column.
    • AHHHH gotchaa, I'll do that once I am home again. I tried doing the harness with the multimeter but it seems the car needed a jump, there was no power when it was in the "ON" position. Not sure if I should use car battery jump starter or if its because the stuff that has been disconnect the car just does send power.
    • As far as I can tell I have everything properly set in the Haltech software for engine size, injector data, all sensors seem to be reporting proper numbers.  If I change any injector details it doesnt run right.    Changing the base map is having the biggest change in response, im not sure how people are saying it doesnt really matter.  I'm guessing under normal conditions the ECU is able to self adjust and keep everything smooth.   Right now my best performance is happening by lowering the base map just enough to where the ECU us doing short term cut of about 45% to reach the target Lambda of 14.7.  That way when I start putting load on it still has high enough fuel map to not be so lean.  After 2500 rpm I raised the base map to what would be really rich at no load, but still helps with the lean spots on load.  I figure I don't have much reason to be above 2500rpm with no load.  When watching other videos it seems their target is reached much faster than mine.  Mine takes forever to adjust and reach the target. My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
