Awesome work guys!!!!

Im so glad you have finally got your car back, i really hate theives!!

Oh also as mjfawke said it would be best if you at least fit an immobilisor to your vehicle to prevent it from happening again. At my work(Autobarn) you can get immobilisors installed for around $150 for a touch key immob. and about $200 for a transponder type.

Anyways, im so glad you got it back in one piece and nothing was stolen or damaged. :headspin:

No problems Daniel. I got home from the shops and sent you the sms after I got online and found your number. Told my GF and she was going on about how I should be a detective!!!! Able to spot a stolen car like that!!! I told her it wasn't that hard, I'd remembered the number plate!!!

THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR LOOKING OUT FOR THE CAR.

I WAS VERY LUCKY THE PLATES ARE EASY TO REMEMBER THOU

THINKING OF SELLING UP TO GET SOMETHING ELSE, CANT QUITE AFFORD SOMETHING LIKE DAD HAS (SHY32) BUT WILL DEFINATELY BE TURBO AGAIN.

THAKYOU VERY MUCH PHANTOM, I OWE YOU BIG TIME :P

IMOBILISER WILL DEFINATELY DO THAT IF I KEEP THE CAR. ITS JUST ONE OF THOSE CARS THAT I HATE SPENDING MONEY ON. :(

Glad she was found - good work guys

My brother had his car stolen during the fires 2?? years ago now. Everything he owned in it. $$ drum kit, $$ kingchrome tools, $$ power tools, snowboard etc. Cops pulled the guy up while he was driving the car but didn't put him away for this - and didn't inform my brother that the car had been found either. Thanks to the radio stations we got the car back!!

(Drum kit was later recovered 3rd hand when a friend discovered the location and tipped the cops off. At least they helped out in the end I guess :S)

I must admit the cops that turned up treated me in the 3rd person context and asked me the same questions over and over again. At first they thought the person that sent me the text was the person that stole the car and I assured them it was not.

Are well have bought a new car this week so the BEAST will be for sale soon.

Oh great now the fuzz think I'm the thieff???!!!!??? Sorry to tell them I was at work when I read about the car being stolen (in Lyneham - not Woden) and as cool as a decent condition little Charade Turbo is, I'm much happier with my 200SX, even if it is off the road waiting to get fixed!!!

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
