hehe... time for the good old smackdown... never get tired of using this gif :D

v35_not_r35.gif

:D R36 :D R35  based on R34 design... gold!

its almost as good as hearing every single ex-honda owning US drift/togeh bandwagon jumpin ricer buying a 240sx and recommending all his forum buddies to put RB engines into their cars coz its "JDM TYTE Y0".

ok so i retract my previous statement i thought the information i had was correct so if your right

what is the picture that i posted of?

and where do i buy r33 gt-r parts in the us does anyone know?

oh and by the way i am a "yank" and do you guys really call us that?

why who r u? do u work for nissan or something id hope so big call to say "tell this guy who i am" haha u sound like a god

^^^ lol... well now you know who I am

Hi, I think those skyline coupes look good, I mean every car has its supporters. I dont like R33's, the only exception being the GTR with its pumped guards. The v35's do look a bit like the 350Z but that isnt such a bad thing.

I cant really see R35/36 GTR breaking GTR tradition, from a looks point of view most of the base model Skylines look ok (except for a couple) and the GTR has always been the one with a more agressive and purposeful look.

Stephen

p.s. For a Z / Skyline looks comparison; check the nissan site out.

http://www.nissan.co.jp/EN/lineup.html

go down to the bottom and select 'Fairlady Z' and then Skyline and see how similar they are, they nearly line up perfectly!!!

so i have a few questions you say the next skyline is going to be a v35 or something along those lines not an r35 but the newest issue of sport compact car says that nissan is building to the release of the new r35 gt-r with the release of the 05 nismo Z-tune r34 (which oddly enough is the most ridiculous car ever).

so what is really going on are they going to stick with the cars they have released for you guys over here or are they actually going to produce a new gt-r (infinit or non)?

Sport Compact Car? Hmmmmm... those guys *literally* have as much chance as I do of getting info about the next GT-R (and I know they make big bucks). They just named it R35 GT-R in their article because they're just following what 10,000,000,000 newbies on the 'net have been calling it since 2001.

Put it this way: SCC are in it to make money... they make money by selling magazines... they sell magazines by printing articles that people want to read... they print articles with next to no *real* content for that reason only, selling mags. So I'm not suprised they called it R35, as they could've called it ZZR TUNE 000-7 Type T super Turbo Ricemobile and still sold mags...

    • Thanks for the linkie. Certainly always a great deal of help when people post comparisons like these, but I think for now I'll stay away from any semi slicks. I did go ahead and order the sportcontact 7. My buddy has them on his modified A4 and he keeps saying how good they are. For my intended purposes these will probably work real well. I'll report on them once I had the chance to try them out
    • Talk about noisy. Even when I still had the Tomei under the car I could distinctly hear the tires rolling. And I doubt I ever will need maximum grip like on a track. My GTR will maybe never even see the 600hp mark and I need to get used to the car quite a bit before challenging the limits of its handling. For the next winter storage I think I will get a set of these rubber drive-on thingies that have a tire shaped base. Those supposedly really help prevent flat spots.
    • Well our climate is definitely way less hot overall and the weather can be quite picky at times. I just know that during normal road use or even spirited drives there is no way I'd be able to consistently stay in the operating temperature, and constantly changing the tire pressure would also be a royal pain.
    • Input shaft bearing. They all do it. There is always rollover noise in Nissan boxes - particularly the big box. Don't worry about it unless it gets really growly.
    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
