Greetings From Taiwan

Recommended Posts

Yo people i made it to Taiwan without any terrorists crashing the plane into any buildings:D

Ok heres a quick rundown of it so far.

I got upgraded to business class from Australia to Hong Kong so it was sweet as. Waited on hand and foot, full electric seat, tv, sterio the works.

Hong Kong airport is farkin massive, it has its own underground train to take you to terminals. The actual runway area is massive and would be crazy for a drift session.

My hotel in Tapei is actually an appartment with 1 single bed and 1 queen bed. Tv in bedroom and flatscreen in lounge, which has 2 couches and an armchair. Has own kitchen, and huge bathroom.

Now the best part, the traffic. :eek1: If u thought driving through springvale was bad, then damn multiply that by 100 and u might come close to how crazy they drive here. No 1 indicates when they wanna change lanes or pullout from road side parking, and there r millions of little scooters on the road.

I am scared to even drive out the hotel.

Going to get my new laptop and some other goodies from the main part of Taipei.

Cyaz:D

Just got back from the main shops in taipei!

Damn there is a whole street bought the size of chapel with just computer shops as every shop down both sides of he street!! And each is 4 levels!!!

I got a new laptop ASUS P4 2.4 GHZ,DVD/Burner, 15.1 monitor, 256MB RAM, 20 GIG HD, all for $3100.

There is so much electronic comp stuff around here. Going to look for sum car shops in the next few days if i get much time off work.

Inark

the horn is just a novality item here, at some intersections u have cars and scooters going in 5 directions when the road goes in 2:uh-huh:

haha, the traffic in the asian countries is crazy, theres no traffic laws there, u just drive :D

but yeah, the electronics is damn cheap. laptops, md's etc. very good prices, and u can bargain em down as well. also, car gear is quite cheap, i'm not sure about taiwan, but in hong kong, stuff like gear knobs, filters, rice lites etc. are very cheap compared to here.

how long r u staying there for? would love to go there, only for a holiday though.

denham could u pick up sum electronic goods 4 me? Oh and the general rule of thumb is horn to let sum1 know your presence, if they piss you off try to run em off the road, and motorcyclists are smaller than you, therefore they must give way to you. At intersections its always first come first thru, traffic lights are merely decorative... well that's how it works in India anyways... silly backward curries.. go the lankans.

I will take sum pics of the powerstation site i am workin at and my hotel!!

I have to memorise the road to and from work as the signs are all in mandrain chinese (like in crouching tiger hidden dragon).

Funky

What electronics are u after?

I am over here for about 2 weeks, depends on how work goes

    • Ok thanks..that was my second question if i can somehow bypass this even with Nistune(that is all i have right now...aparat from stock ECU. So with some aftemarket it can by "bypassed" or make it work?  I know there is Link or Haltech (mainly used). We have ECUmaster here so i will gather some info about it.
    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
