hey buddy,

good to hear!

i got the call yesterday, mines cleared and sitting at the toll waiting to be put on a truck for adelaide... i get mine 7 days after i pay (so hopefully next saturday march 11th)

btw whos doing your compliance? im curious about side intrusion bar/engineer cert prices only (got child restraint points, stock parts, convex mirror lense etc sitting here waiting for it)

GTR guards are yours soon as my car lands!

Im going through Best Enterprises they seemed good and cheap Ive heard other places have changed there prices to $1500 when I rang however I yet to be told when my car will be finished after contacting them twice and the car sitting there since Monday Im going to drop down there on Sat and see what they have to say. I'd say get it done it's only $1200 and then you can drive it on the road if you want. I don't know how you'd go trying to get it done later down the track.

btw Ive got the cash for the guards waiting so let me know

I know my car isn't a R32, but i bought my cefiro mid september, it was registered 15th February, don't be surprised if regency knocks you back first go. I had suspension issues, i had stock cefiro struts and still it was too low. oh well, its registered now.

David

Congrats on your new ride!

I too am a new 4DR 32 owner (white, manual), but havent driven mine yet! Arrived in Fremantle (south of Perth) today, so I should get it very soon!

As far as time frame is concerned, i payed for mine on January 27th.

congrats mate, nice one, 4dr 32's are sick.

under 15 year rule, mine was $1250 to comply.

i paid for my car in mid october, and it arrived mid january, so for me it was a 3 month turnaround.

It's cost me around $10.500 complied and regod. roadworthy was fairly pricy, had to change all discs and pads.

oh yeah, remember to service it as soon as you get back from compliance. at the very least change the engine oil and filter. who knows when it was last changed, and its probably been sitting in a dealership/warehouse/docks for 6 months or so

next step is a manual conversion if you want to get into a bit of drift. get an rb25det gearbox though.

4 doors rock. I got mine in December but through a car yard in brisbane, I've upgraded the fuel pump to 450hp and put a R33 air flow meter on, which could have waited but wanted to get out of the way early. Just about to put a front mount on then we can talk a bigger turbo. And in the wet, what can i say.............

got it rego'd today and Insured third party as Im low on funds then drove in to work complaince cost me $1565 extra $300 for front upper control arm bushes and $65 for a new batt without letting me know till I turned up to pick it up on Sat. Its auto at the moment but it revs to 7,500 before changing with out the power or hold button on very strange?

    • It says 300ZX, does that make it an Aus delivered car? Funny how back in the day I just couldn't care less about Z32's and these days I am just in love with them. Back when Nissan was into pushing the envelope. 🤣
    • Hi guys, just after some guidance with an R34 sunroof that has stopped working correctly. It still opens and closes perfectly fine, but it no longer tilts/vents up or down. As a result, the rear of the glass now sags a bit as it drops down slightly in order to retract into the roof, but now it can't pop upwards into a flush position. I’ve probed the pins on the back of the switch connector with a multimeter and it seems like both switches (for open/close and tilt/vent) still work correctly. Any ideas on what it could be, or where I should even start in terms of diagnosing? I'm sure someone's had this issue before but I haven't been able to find anything online relating to this specific issue, most of the issues are with the seals leaking or the motor failing entirely. Thanks in advance!
    • Do you have some data like fuel pressure? It's really hard to say if you're still fighting a fuel system issue at this point. Could be something weird like the FPCM dipping out.
    • Yeah in that case, pulling the dent out. Event a very slight dent can create a lot of work filler-wise and there is a strong chance the panel won't be the factory shape when you are done (as the dent will result in a new high point created somewhere, then everything is brought up to that new high point... but the panel shouldn't be that high if that makes sense).  So you've filled and primed the panel and it is flat, why would you go back and remove the primer and add more filler?
    • Something else I have been faffing with while the car was off the road is making the AC work. Assuming the car isn't at a thermal limit the idea of having AC while waiting in line to go on track sounds delightful. I have actually been lugging around the weight of the entire system since 2018 when the RB25NEO went in without it working at all.  The main reason was in the first few events before I got around to re-gassing it the rubber hose that runs under the manifold had the factory heat wrap/sleeve fail resulting in this: ~2 years ago I purchased a complete used R32 AC line set but when I finally went to install it the line i needed was different where the expansion section is I found a local place that was able to replace the rubber section and re-crimp. They also added some modern heat sleeve to the hose Tight fit but fingers crossed this is the last physical piece of the puzzle needed
