Everyone has run out of stock so I am waiting on new arivals.

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply, I have been running the shop while the manager is sick and have been back til 8 every night. I know this is no excuse but I'll try to clear up all previous questions in my next post.

I am interested in a new turbo. Was thinking about Garrett GT35R what size exhaust wheel can these come in? Also what price would something bigger be GT40 or 42?

0.82 and 1.06 that I know of but there could be some more.

On the 0.82 you would get your boost coming in at around 3300-3500.

But it punches more air than stock skyline turbos so running 10 psi will feel like 16 on the standard highflow one.

A GT40R comes in 0.95 and 1.06. Only good if your engine is putting out more than 400hp by itself.

If there are some GT35r's avalaible once you find out let me know and i'll grab one off ya!

Cheers

Dave

Should be mid-late next week or early the following. Hopefully he won't stuff me around but if you say you want one, I'll get it in for you. Just say the word.

I am also interested in a GT35R with .82 exh housing.

How much would freight bo to Tassie?

"Money on the fridge wog"

Just kidding...hope you aren't greek or something lol.

I don't know how much freight would be to Tassie. You might be able to ask thepost office...I rarely have time to stop in on my busy schedule.. They are still 2 or so weeks away. Garrett have a huge order coming in.

hey mate, very interested in getting a turbo of you, just need some advice first

How much horsepower/kilowatts do you want? =210rwkw

What are you using the car for? = Street

When do you want boost roughly? = 2200/2500

Do you want power early or late in the rev range = early

What Mods you engine has or is going to have including computers or exhaust etc = 3' turbo back, pod+cai, am organising powerfc, FMIC and turbo(this is where you come in)

Obviously, what car? = R32 Gtst

Intercooled? and is it large, small, medium = will be med

Still running AFM or upgraded or no longer there = stock

Custom exhaust manifold or standard? (custom exhaust manifolds give you more options) = standard

External wastegate or internal(limited to virtually 450hp)?

It seems like people are recommending this 2530 for this setup correct ?

i know 210rwkw isnt huge, but its all i feel i really need. I was planning on high-flow but it seems like for a bit extra i can give myself much more potential in the future perhaps.. ??

TimmyC,

Check out the TD06 8cm turbo Roy is running and his results over here. Huge mid range excellent 250rwkw top end potential with what I consider very minimal lag.

The TD06 paired up with the 8cm housing is the my new turbo of choice for the rb20det.

Dan,

Can i also get a price on a 1.06 exh housing for a GT35R

** as far as i know GT35R's ARE GT35/40 <- thats the old sk00l way of talkin about them

sooky syphon wants an internally wastegated exh housing.. ie XR6T turbo...

edit: your PM box was full

Can you please advise your comments on the following as I have just through the process myself of sourcing a turbo and the feed back I've got:

GT35/40r ar0.70 and ar1.06 can be sourced with an internal wastegate rated 700hp

with ceramic ball bearings

RB25 HiFlow with the right internals is capable of 550hp

The hiflow is meant to come on boost quicker with a good mid range torque, but the GT would have the legs in the top end.

I'm being told the Hiflow has a better durability in case of backfire, better torque range for circuit racing.

The Hiflow will cost me $1,750 because of the rated internals ie bigger shaft than the GT, wheels and bearings, however unable to get the specs (all top secret stuff)

What is the cost of the GT35/40R?

Can you please advise the spec on the hi flow equipment used?

- shaft size and brand

- Wheel brand

- finished AR compressor and turbine

- type of bearings

- timing (I assume it exchange)

PM has been emptied...sory for that.

Also. The 35R is not the same as the 35/40. The 35R is external gate and rated at 600-650hp. The 35/40 is internal gate and rated at roughly 450hp. You can, however, make a turbo based on the XR6 exhaust combined with a 35R to make it internally gated and still rated at 650hp. But they cannot copy the Ford turbo for obvious reasons....even though they made it.

Price on the exhaust housing is about $650-700. in that size. Can't get one for around 3 months though.

    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
