if anyone wants some eggs, feel free to come and scrape some off the side of my car. some little (or big) sh!theads thought it would be fun to use my car as target practice. credit to them, they were good shots, hit the drivers door and splattered all the way up to the rear wheel... this is the first time my skyline has been hit and i'm a little bit cranky.. (i have had a ute egged and keyed in successive weeks, and my torana broken into and egged on several occasions..) there is a nice little scratch on the drivers door where the egg has hit and taken some paint as hostage

i live in hope that i'll find these fockers one day...

*rant over*

I would hate to know what i would do if i caught someone doing that to my car :headshot: . i would be so angy. very protective, my cars come in a close second to my gf

I dont see how it can be fun for people to do this, i could never damage a car for fun.

if their parents had raised them properly, they would'nt be doing anything like this.

theres a great line in "Parenthood" where Keanu Reeves sais, "you need a licence to catch a fish but they'll let any but-reaming asshole become a father"

it probably all sounds a bit random but if their parents had done even a half decent job in raising them, then things like this simply would'nt happen.

Veilsides rant over.

Yeah, other than BMW's flamethrower arrangement, I'm not sure what else we can do....

I mean, people know how much cars really cost, but they think its fun anyway. Worst thing is to me, when you are paying to clean/repair/find whatever it is they've done, they are already over it.

i live just near erindale too, its not the first time its been done here - i'm pretty sure its not a targetted effort, there was evidence of egg cartons down the road a bit and a bin that had been dragged by a car and then let go..

i've had my torana broken into out the front while i had the boys over - we were out the back and they broke in during the night some time.. i have been egged a few times, i normally park the car up the driveway at night but this happened before 10pm before i got a chance to put it to bed. in the mid semester break last year i got my bro's ute keyed all the way along one thurs night and then egged the thursday the week after.. times are tough in the valley...

its all random attacks, other people in the same street have got the same treatment...

not much you can do really, their time will come though, karma will get them - if i don't before!

I don't know where people get off doing stupid shit like this, honestly does it make them feel tough or something?! "Oh yeah I'm so cool I egged that guy/girls car and he/she doesnt know it was me, i am sooo hard" these sort of people really piss me off!!!

It takes alot to have a car and maintain it, and im sure these people would b pissed if it happened to you, random or targeted, so why do it?!

If you are reading this and you are one of those **** heads that takes pride in defacing other peoples cars why not think if you'd like it done to you, and how bloody pissed you'd be scrapping that egg and remains of egg shells of your paint!!

Skyline babes rant ova

    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
    • Thanks for the replies everyone. Definitely a coolant push. Oil catch can is empty and always has been. As the engine is out now I'll be having a good look over things. I do have some detonation on the piston tops from a trigger issue back about 5 years ago. I felt it and shut off then bought a new ecu and changed the trigger. Never been an issue since. It never hurt the power, its made almost 80hp more since that incident but I will pull the bearing caps to take a look. If the bearings are damaged I will do a bottom end refresh. Head is being re conditioned at the moment and the block will be cleaned and checked to ensure it's flat. I'll go with a kameari gasket and see how it ends up. The other thing I'm not super keen on is the cylinder colours. I suspect this is from the inlet manifold. The plan will be to put it back together, retune and then stick a plazmaman billet inlet on it and retune. I'm happy with the power, if it makes a little more, then great, but I would rather just make everything more efficient at this stage.
    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
