How to set up TEIN for drift??

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this post has been done before

I have a Cefiro with full HA tein suspension. Camber, height, and dampener adjustable. I'm running 225/60/15 GIII on the front , junk on the back

My question is what is the best set up for drifting ???????

What do I set it at ??

Is the front different from the rear??

Harder at the front or rear

and hints, tips would be greatly appreciated

Billy

Hi Billy,

What you want is to have the rear as hard as possible. I have put in a thicker rear sway bar from a GTR into my car as well as a front/rear strut brace.

I have the front of my car a bit softer than the rear to soak up any understeer and a decent set of tyres on the front - semi slicks on the front are ideal, but can be expensive.

Tein HA's are known to be extremely hard so it will be perfect for your drift application.

Good luck with it.

thanks heaps mate thats great

i have front and rear strut braces and (get this) stock 27mm solid front sway bar on the ceffy and a whiteline 25mm rear sway bar of an S13

I will lock up the rear and set the dampeners on not so hard in the front on the next drfit day on the 27th

thanks for that again

Remember to play around with your settings.

After all, its what YOU prefer, there is no SET guidelines as to what HAS to be used for drifting.

Some extra information from settings that i use on my car (r32 gts-t)

Castor = 8 degrees

Front Camber = 2.5degrees neg

Rear Camber = 2degrees neg
