regarding the power conversions, im not sure if this is happening to everone (i assume it would be) be it dos'nt actually make a difference what power unit u pick it still shows the same figures in your garage.... my N1 GTR is both 410 HP and 410kw?!?! it happens to all my cars. there is no actual conversion...what the f***?? Thats abit lame...why put the option in for diffrent power units if it makes no difference.................

Yeah its flawed this game but the special conditions race where you win the 700 plus Kw Caddallacki for just winning 2 races makes up for the bad things.

The V8's sound crap with exhausts too, I thought they where suppose to be authentic and I dont care what anyone says, there is to much understeer developed in this game !

Could the pace car go *any* slower....

We just got a GT Force Pro steering wheel for $280.. be warned there are steering wheels out there for the same price with really cheap bearings that crack frequently..

I don't know how you guys got so many $$ & cars so quickly.. we must be @ work too much!! Need to take more sick days?

Kaz/hellrazorette

I've discovered a good/easy way to get upgrade your car so its a decent 1st-3rd running car and then switch to B-Spec mode and let your driver win the races for you. I've earnt around $30k in an hour by winning 2 Sil80's and 6 races. Almost have enough for a GTR now so then i'll go back to racing seriously again.

there is qualifying... its called "Practice" this time tho.

and from what i can tell its not at the wheels figures..... it looks more like a bug cause most of the differences are conversions. ie. my 350z has 770kw but in the info it has 570kw which is pretty much the exact HP to KW total. ie. 770HP is 570kw

so im not sure about at fly and at wheels.

where abouts is this practice? is it not in the events where you win money or something?

I picked up something yesterday racing in the GT-R challenge.

I was driving a R32 V-specII with the traction control and oversteer ASM off but the understeer ASM on about 2-3.

What happens is if you happen to trail brake into a corner the ASM would put power on and would help spit you off the track, it took me ages to work out wtf was going on and only picked it up by the groan of the RB26 when I was on the anchors.

Something to watch out for people, if your going to turn down the diving aids turn them completely off.

    • The real question is, on some of those wild roads they call highways, how many times did a farmer in an old ute from the early 2000s blaze past you over double lines?   Tassie is a wild and really cool place, and after doing a work related road trip there January of 24, I understand why Targa Tasmania is ran there, and is so tough to do well at! We had a brand new Camry Hybrid that handled quite nicely, and thankfully weren't in an old car, because cresting some of those hills in a 100kmh zone for it to suddenly be like "surprise f**kers, this is a recommended 30kmh hard right turn" wouldn't be pretty. We weren't racing the Camry around, but we weren't slouching in the bends either. But my lord those old farmers know their old clapped out utes, and those roads, as they were absolutely hammering it!   You're also super lucky to make it up to Mt Wellingtong this time of year. It's often road closed with snow/ice! Also, I hope you hit up Salamander Road in Hobart for some insanely good food (I highly recommend the dimly lit Irish pub for a Guiness Pie, or even the bangers and mash!!!)   How long did the Ferry take to get across? I want to do a road trip of Tas on my own time, but I get horrifically sea sick, and I don't want me on the Ferry, just the car 😛
    • So far so good, about 30km on it so far and nothing out of sorts yet thankfully
    • Look at @Kinkstaah's thread on the issue.
    • Hmm not really, I'd say its race car life or modified car life when you make 3 or 4 times the power Nissan designed the car for lol.
    • I'll let others with more breakage chime in, but I can't think of anyone who had a problem with the standard centre plate before they had a problem with the standard gears - the plate generally just gets replaced for safety when the gearset is upgraded. As for the gearsets, its not like they are OK at 600Nm and break at 601. Their longevity is a combination of how much torque you are making and how gentle you are on shifts (or not).
