I have a Cusco 6/7point Rollcage to trade.

I would have put it in my car but it wont fit because of the sunroof.

It will fit in any 2door r33 without a sunroof, GTR GTST etc ..

It is a bolt in cage so no welding is required, all bolts etc included

Im looking to swap it for a nice set of rims for my R33 GTST or a Bride passenger side seat with rails that will match the Bride fiberglass race shell seat that i have in the drivers side.

So if you have one of these that you would like to trade for one of the things i have let me know..

Ive attached a picture of the rollcage and a picture of my Bride seat

hey mate, firstly could you post a price or let me know what price your chasing. Second why doesnt it fit in a 33 with a sun roof. I have the same thing and was just wondering is it because it goes across the sun roof or is it because the hood lining is lower etc? I want to put a cage in and I love the look of yours but i am just trying to find out why you didnt put yours in, would it be possible if you didnt care about it covering the sunroof etc or did it just not fit period?

Cheers mate, matt

The reason is because the roof liner is too low, trust me ive ripped the whole liner out and the sunroof trying to fit it ..i even thought about getting it modified but just about every peice would have to be changed and u may as well get a whole new one made up .. the only way i could put it in is if i took the sunroof out and got the roof welded up and got a new roof liner from a non sunroof car ..

I havent posted a price because i want to swap it for some rims or a seat. But if someone put $900 in front of me they could take it home. But i would prefer to swap it ..

Mick

that cage is the hoop section behind the seats, the two sections that run down the 'A' pillars and the bars that link these sections along the top and bottom of the doors - yes? that means it has four body mounting points.

Mine had sections that extended into the rear of the car (no rear seat) and mounted at another two points. it seems in the pic that you don't have enough sections of bar to make up a full cage...

so has this, it has 6 mounting points, i supose its hard to visualise since its dismantled .. i may even assemble it in the lounge room for something to do and take a pic of it .. but trust me its a 6 point full rollcage

there is the hoop section, thats 2 points, then there are the two s shaped peices that run down the a pillars, thats another 2 points, then there are the two peices that have an angled plate on the end of them, they go from the top of the hoop section to the rear of the car thats the last 2 points, so thats 6 points that mount to the car, and there are two peices left, one goes between the two s shaped peices and the other one goes on an angle between the rear two peices ..

mine had additional bars that ran from the bottom of the hoop section along the bottom of the doors to the bottom of the S sections, + bars that ran from the back at the bottom of the hoop section to the mounts on top of the rear wheel arches+ a bar that ran between the rear mounts (where the back seat normally sat).

as far as i know the back seat is still usable and the cage doesnt interfere with anyone ..

the bars that go in to the rear of the car squeeze in on each side of the back seat.

You are welcome to come down and we can assemble it in the car to check, we can assemble it without actualy bolting it to the car, so it wont hurt to do it ..

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
