My car was Broken into this morning at a mates place in sturt and all we got was a description of the car. so i went and made the police report, then went driving around and finally found the car that matches perfectly, went back to the cops and they said that unless they see anything in the car that matches the description they can't do anything. totally screwed up.

any way if you see this car XAF-901 Toyota Corona Wagon red with shitty primer/rust/bog all over let me know because i can't rely on the cops :ghost:

they took my girlfriends phone and wallet with all her cards in it and her weeks pay

the only way i can think of how they got in was a slim jim cos there is some scratches on my window that match up to the rough size of one. the stuff was locked in the glove box and they snapped the handle getting into it

oh yeah and we almost caught the bastards aswell lucky we left when we did otherwise i'd probably be car less

Dude,

That's just unlucky man, dun worry KARMA will sort things out..

Oh wells..if karma dun help, trolley poles are a dime a dozen

and u know what u can do wif em if u see the car again..

Didn't you have an alarm though? R32 and no alarm come on?

that makes me angry.....karma will bite the robbers AND those police people involved.

yeah i know i should have one i just couldn't afford one at the time, speaking of which what do you think is better a viper one with the transponder remote or a cheetah pro stopper

I reckon viper is better, but quite expensive, I'm getting a boomerang installed this sunday. Heaps better I reckon. I'll get u the link..

For the price I reckon it's better that the rest.. 2 way pager system ( up to 2km) , remote start and built in turbo timer....

Yet the coolest feature is the one where it can sense u coming towards the car ( coz u got the pad) and it will automatically open and vice versa if u are leaving, it will auto lock.

All for $850 installed.

I reckon u could get it cheaper coz a guy in melb sells the unit for $500

and install shouldn't be no more than $200

But I need it urgently coz of insurance reasons, so I had to pay $850

Guy comes to u and installs it. 1 yr warranty..

Not to bad if u ask me.

heres the link to info about it if anyones interested

Sorry man.. I didn't mean to dis ya bout not having the alarm

oh btw if you are after an alarm for your car then give leon from japanese autotech (0413789211) a call, tell him duc recommended you. He cheap and does a great job. My gf and I had our viper alarms - blue 2 way pager models, installed by him and they work a treat. He also supplies and installs boomerangs as its his speciality at a competitive price.

nice ride iceduck. Assuming that your avatar is your gtt, I havent seen a gtt like yours in adelaide before - or a yellow one for that matter.

Thanks man..

I bought it last week in melb..

And drove it home.. lost a Damn eye lid on the way though.. so now it looks like it's winking..

Dunno where to find another one..

Rarely drive it though.. Project car ( and dun live in the adelaide )

Apparently there is another yellow one in Adelaide.. so yeah.. hmm..

but if ya see me around give us a yell

It's stock and slow as shit but looks nice

    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching

    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
    • From memory, on the R33 GTSt at least, while everyone says "It's not adjustable", I found when I changed clutches in mine, it just needed a small adjustment on the rod length. But be very wary here, as you could end up trying to push the pushrod in the master too far, or blowing out the slave.   Most likely though, if the master/slave isn't bypassing internally or leaking out, then the throw out is the wrong height compared to the fingers on the clutch, so when it moves to disengage the clutch, it isn't 100% disengaged. You can check part of this out too by jacking the car up, having the engine running, put your foot on the clutch and try to engage 1st gear. If it goes in pretty easy (Compared to the ground) and/or the wheels start turning a fair bit and it takes a bit too much brake pedal to bring them back to a stop, this is likely the issue.  I'm not sure if you can adjust the height of the forks etc in these though, it's been that long since I've touched any RB gearbox.
