1st thing is to ask your insurance company what they will allow you to do.

The start with an exhaust, air filter and a front mount. then BOV I would say ;)

good starting point then the possibilities are endless :) hehehe

Hey Tony - yeah he said it was a GTS.

33Spec: congratulations on the car, looks very nice (just like mine! :)). In regards to body mods, I think the side skirts and rear skirts make the car look good. The car looks a bit round under the door without them.

Also, the Nismo chin spoiler is cool, but some people like the S2 stock, your call.

Pretty much anything will void the insurane if its not "standard". Even if its like racing pedals, which to me would have no discernable difference to the way the car drives, they will want to know about it and it might effect the amount you pay. Some of it makes sense, but in general its all a scam to get you for more money.

Best thing is just to ring them "I am thinking of fitting a xxx to my car, how will that effect my insurance?" and they will give you the answer. Depending on how much you want to take the risk, you then do it anyway, or just go without.

Remember if you are involved in a major accident, and you have fitted something you haven't told them about, and they happen to go through you car with a fine toothed comb (which has been known to happen, but not many times) - they are on the right side of the law to not cover you at all for the claim. If you hit a porche then...

Dont forget that some specialist insurers like Just Car and Famous allow unlimited modifications.

If however, you are talking about a standard insurer like Nrma etc then mods will more than likely void your insurance.

It pays to double check before you do the mods in any case

tlai909: you beat me to the N/A comment, first thing i saw was the 4 stud wheels :)

Thanx 4 all the comments!

Yeah i thought about buying a turbo but insurance is a bitch!

so i think ill wait a couple of years when im over 21 then fit a bigger turbo unless you know anyone that will insure me for an imported turbo its a no go DAMn insurance companys!;):D

Also thanx 4 the bodykit ideas Timmy G i might hav 2 get me sum of them! 5 stud conversion 4 the wheels interesting! does anyone know how much this would cost another thing is my car is being complianced as it just came from japan so i dont get the wheels you see so does this mean i can get 5 stud ones?

:D

why dont you get the wheels?

you probably misunderstood them when they said you need new "tyres".

there's no point in changing to 5 stud by the way.

there are plenty of 4 stud wheels that will look good on the car.

wanting to change from a 4 stud to a 5 stud...sorry about this...that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.???? why would you want to do this? to give people a false sense your driving something ur not??

5 studs wont fit on a 4 studded axel anyhow? and I imagine it would be costly and a waste of time to do so!.

dont be so harsh on the fella akeenan

anyways it can be dont but it is time consuming and costly.. i wanted to do that also, change from 4 stud to 5.... mainly coz the turbo parts are so much easlier to come by and swap around rather than the 4 stud kind, and i had my eye one these mags that only had a 5 stud pattern......

bottom line if u got the time and $$$ and there is a point to the plan then do it, but if its just to have the fakeness as akeenan so nicly put it, go break yo self!?!?

    • Ok thanks..that was my second question if i can somehow bypass this even with Nistune(that is all i have right now...aparat from stock ECU. So with some aftemarket it can by "bypassed" or make it work?  I know there is Link or Haltech (mainly used). We have ECUmaster here so i will gather some info about it.
    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
