its funny if you read legislation for drunk drivers. they are talking about holding the keys for the cars of drunks after someone was caught 3 times in the space of a couple of hours drink driving.

where is the fairness? drink drive they leave you with your car and drive off. squeel the wheels they wait around for your car to be picked up by tow truck. riiiiiigggghhtttt!

i wonder if the cops have it the same way as parking inspectors? I heard on Today Tonight a few yrs ago that a parking inspector gets more kudos / pay rise / better chance of a pay rise if they issue more fines. Some guy quit cos he was getting hassled by his council for not giving enough fines.

So does a cop get better sh!t if he issues more fines / impounds cars / just being an arsehole?

Was a cop on his motorbike with a radar gun on Elliot Rd this arvo, I got a warning from some dude before I came over the hill so I kept to 50, and he was standing right on the corner of the street I need to turn into. The wet weather had shifted some dirt into the corner, and as I was turning the wheels skidded on it (this is right next to him) and straight away I was thinking he would come after me. That feeling I got is :bs!: because that is all it takes now to get your car impounded. I don't have my 'line yet, but I can guarantee he would have come after me if I was.

He had a look at me to make sure I didn't do anything else but everything else was ok. I turned my music down as well, radar gun cops hate that, most of the time I just drive past them & they have a look. :D

i dont know about that, there is this one intersection on my way home from work (in my work ute (4cyl triton)) that when you take off from the lights from a standing start you hit the bumps in the road and my tyres squeel, not heaps but enough to make you lift your foot of the gas... and no i dont thrash the work ute...

in resposce to this, if u blow beetween 0.05 and 0.079 u can drive u car home with a fine......they do actually make u stop if u blow over 0.08

so what they are talking about is if u keep drinking and driving around and stay beetween that limit some how

anyway the squeeling tyres things suks and cops in general suk wish they were out actually stopping people robbing places/thinsg instead of bustin our asses for stupid shit

Hey ive decided if i get done for being a hoon, im getting my car back. I will tell this to the judge and the police too. Unless of course i was doing something really stupid of course, then i deserve it. Cant be that hard to get you car back out of the impound lot. Its my property and i have a right to it, screw this hoon law thing its a violation of our rights a citizens of Australia. Even if they did make an amendment to suit its still bs. They can take my license and i wont drive and the car wont move (like i did a couple of months back) but taking the car! dont think so.

:D

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
