Finally I found the ultimate home garage installation to plagiarise.

My greatest problem in the garage is organisation and having work areas at a good height to not wreck my back further, and since my home in Melbourne is up for sale later this month I cbf wasting time and effort on setting up for great organisation and cleanliness. What I am working toward is the place I intend to build in Brisbane in a few years, with a view toward moonlighting doing some very exclusive performance work to subsidise my ultimate garage and motorsport goals. Perhaps this is a little beyond my immediate ability to achieve but the general layout is great, and shows just what can be done from home.

Still with me? Wanna see the place? OK here it is. clicky

Yes I saw the other thread some months ago, but having worked in a large brand new Qld Toyota service centre many years ago, and inspected a number of Army aviation maintenance facilities, this not only compares favourably but wins hands down.

heheh yeah it sucks having to park your car in the engine building room all the time, right?

Raceworx are actually building our ultimate garage shortly on the country estate, we just can't keep working how things are now :D

Sure Kel :D, maybe there is a few bucks to be made in creating these exhorbitant big kids play houses. I reckon 5-40 acres within 25-40km of the centre of Brisvegas, up to the north of town should be perfect. Could maybe buy 5 of those for the price of a 2 beddie in Syddley :)

Now just have to get Lakeside reopened so I got somewhere decent to race....goddam paperclip.

Saw the late post Duncan, hope it measures up, otherwise you might have to come to Qld to visit the better half...Actually, can she swing a spanner and sweep?? :) Let me know how the racing went wont you?

hahah yeah Kel can turn a spanner with the best of them.....she sucks at carrying rb26 blocks around tho :D

The racing today.....not so great.....lets just say a consistently unreliable supplier of nolathene bushes in sydney came thru again, with very poorly matched springs and shocks....car was driving a bit like a boat :) Ran OK tho so we are looking good for Targa next week.

Targa? Awesome, well better luck there then. If I'd been able to start leave earlier I'd come watch and maybe help out, but not until mid next month for about oh 14 months.

Get Kel on the creatin and weights then. Can't put her to work unless she can bench a ferrari V8 block......

BTW the ultimate garage must have an office space to enjoy the new PC Sim I got from GB. Unfortunately not available in Oz yet but clearly leaves GT4 for dead for sheer accuracy and fub with FF wheel and a high speed net connection for online racing leagues. Pic below

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
