The GT28RS CHRA is very similar to the HKS GT2530 , the compressor wheel is a 60mm 62 trim instead of a 60mm 63 trim . The tip height is slightly greater making it a more efficient wheel with slightly better flow . In original form the GT28RS uses a .86ARR T2/25/28 flange exhaust housing and a .60ARR TO4B compressor cover . ATP Turbo are now doing them with the optional GT28 compressor cover (internally same as TO4B) which has the two bolt inlet and three bolt outlet compressor cover . There is a .64 exhaust housing you can use but dont know if its suitable for TT RB26 .

Well I am trying to hit the 450- 500 WHP with bolt on Turbos, downpipe and exhaust system, Intake system, intercooler kit, Camshafts, and a stand alone engine management.

I am looking for turbos with very minimal lag but able to push hard through the RPMs with out letting up in the high rpms.

I like the HKS turbos but there just too much money and for that money i can get the other components I mention up top. So I am looking at the garrett turbos. GT28R looks pretty good the GT28RS looks like is going to lag too much for my liking so I dont know.

Also I want to know if this Garrett Turbos will just Bolt right in to the Factory things. Thanks for your help

I would still go a set of HKS turbo's i don'r know why the americans don't like spending money on proven good parts.

we have GT-SS turbo's, we are currently producing around 480hp at the wheels.with hardly any lag.we make around 220AWKW at about 4000rpm, with a riv limit of 8500rpm.

Go the HKS path.

    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
    • That's one of the reasons I got that breed, they look weird, the other reasons are they small, they are very vocal, and run around like they are on crack, I didn't want a breed that just sits around, these two are like kids on red cordial  My daughter has one, and it's a laugh riot, constantly doing Parkour around the house, sits on her shoulder, plays catch, and constantly runs around the house taking turns chasing the dog around, her Bermese though, just lays around with constant bitch face, and just looks on in utter disgust at the cat and dog playing together
    • I'm getting PTSD flashbacks seeing that name again.  With my turbo swift, I got 1,500km of street use on a Jim Berry clutch before it exploded and took out my input shaft with it.
