So wait a sec, this ISN'T a group buy any more?

Its an on going group buy.

I moved 6 of the coolers already and have had interest in more so the price is low for all and there are plenty available.

gR33ddy -

Just a few questions, some have already been partially answered, but with the group buy not being a group buy I am confused. :D

1) So you have them in stock? (or atleast ability to ship straight away)

2) What is expected delivery time from me depositing money? I live in Newcastle, NSW (You said roughly 5 days above..still apply?)

3) Any probs with it fitting an R32 GTST

4) Is it an Australian supplier?

5) Is it possible to get a thermostat model -> How much/Do the above questions still apply to it or will it be different?

6) Did you get pics of your install?

Cheers

Chris

Hey Chris,

The minimum number of sales was met and I have had further interest in the coolers so I can offer them for $400 for individual buyers.

1)They are in stock at my suppliers wharehouse and are ready to be shipped immediately after payment has been received.

2)Delivery around 5 working days by UPS with tracking.

3)Will fit easily. sandwich plate has 2 different threads which will fit most Japanese cars. Skylines no probs.

4)Supplier is in Hong Kong. Cost includes all import duties and GST.

5)Sorry dont have thermostat models available.

6)Will definitely post some pics over the weekend.

;)

Payment Details please?

I will probably order today so I can get it installed for next weekend (going in a motorkhana, need to change oil...be good to not have to do the oil again straight after the motorkhana!)

I am just going to research any issues with not having the thermostat before I buy. Anyone having links to such threads, please post them here :P

EDIT - For others information - Seems the general view is that a thermostat is not required in a climate such as Australia. Only where it is very cold/snow conditions. The problem with not having the thermostat is that the oil is always going through cooler, and may not heat up, thus causing damage to engine. However in Australia it will still warm up even if its going through the cooler all the time!

I added you to the 044 list. Do you still want it?

Heres a link to an excellent install guide for exactly the same oil cooler.

Blk33 has included some good pics and info - well done.

No go for the 044 as the payment date doesn't line up.

I may be able to get it cheaper anyhow, I'm waiting to hear from a friend as he is able to get Bosch items generally very very cheap. I bought a Z32 AFM through him for $280 bran spankin new.

Depending on his price I may still need it. But I really should get injectors first.. lol to many things I need to buy and not enough money. lol

    • Have you done the Ignition Sync Wizard in the AEM software?
    • Find out what RPM it was idling at with the IACV unplugged. It's very weird that the rpm didn't change at all, and then it stalled. When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
