G'day all!

I was wondering if VIC has any gov't department that can tell me if there is any money owing on a car. In NSW we have REVS where you can check to see if there is money owing before you purchase. Last thing I want is having my car towed away by the repo man because the previous owner didn't want to pay the car off.

Much appreciated.

Or call 131171 for Vehicle Securities Registrar.

You need Rego, VIN & Make/model.

They prefer you to have the name/address of the current owner too.

For about $8.50 they will post you a certificate to say what they verbally tell you. This does not guarantee it's not stolen from Japan, etc. That's on your back.
