Tonight was by far the best meeting I have attended so far, and rightly so being the A.G.M. Highlights for me were...

* It's good to know how the club is travelling financially, and some of the goals the committee has set for now and into the future

* Jeff's Targa videos were great fun

* Loved the idea of the dinner, will this be a black-tie style event? Abby and I think it should be.

* Feedback forms were a good idea, hopefully some good ideas/improvements come from these.

Keep up the good work.

All members who came and filled in one of the feed-back forms are greatly thanked.

The fact is these clubs are member driven and they key to getting the most out of it is participation. So we will read through all idea's and attempt to offer things you guys want in order to improve our praticipation levels.

Thanks again guys.

Annual Dinner will be on October 1st - to celebrate 1 year of SAU Vic existance.

More details to follow but Gentleman Jim is looking forwards to coming down and having a chat with us all. This night really should be the social highlight of the year for SAU.

Jeff brought along his 20,000 odd pages of notes, sup reg's etc for Targa Tas, had a short highlights DVD to show and had some great in-car footage of some of the Targa stages. The street circuit sections were great but unfortunately Jeff's driving skills makes it look all too easy. It's made my burning desire to do Targa even worse!

So if there's anyone out there that wants to sponsor me to do Targa just drop me a PM! LOL

DAMN, forgot again...

I'm sure no one missed me but I would have liked to be there anyway.

Considering I'm just in the city on Flinders St. any chance someone can pick me up on the way there next meeting so I cant forget again??

Roy -commiserations mate, hope you get the beast sorted without too much $$ spent.

Hey guys sorry I missed this meet.....had the best of intensions to go and then the missus decided to go into labour!!!

The annual dinner sounds great and I'm guessing the Gentleman Jim news was the big surprise Snowie??!!

Greg - seriously when I saw you weren't there I thought "Did he REALLY want me to call him to remind him!?" I will next time if you need me to! LOL

To be honest...

YES!

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
