hey all,

i'm going for rego on friday - 1989 r32 gtst.

my problem is this - it has 17" Skyline GTT rims on it, but the tyre placard says 16". For some reason, the engineer wouldn't engineer them (no idea why).

i'm not sure if they'll care as it's 15yo and they have the same rolling diameter.

i guess one way out would be to have some 16" rims for rego - would anyone have a set i could borrow for friday?

any ideas? any input at all would be *great*.

As far as I can remember in the ACT you are allowed to run a wheel 2 inches bigger than the biggest standard wheel available on your car as long as you use a profile on the tyres that keeps it pretty much in line with the original overall rolling diameter. Anything else would need to be engineered. You should be right unless they want to be asses when you take your car over.
