Yeah they look great ronin but ive never really seen any on GTR's for some reason.

Anybody done any price checking on what customised FR19's are worth to suit a R32 GTR.?

What would be the widest i could get under there comfortably in 19's without scrubbing.

I think the reason why no one is running them of a GTR is because:

1. compared to a lightweight jap rim, they aren't that light

2. compared to a japanese rim (second hand, or even new) eg Work Emotion KAI in F/S sections they will be expensive (my FR17s were around the $600 mark each i think)

3. there are tougher looking exposed-bolt japanese rims SSRs or alike

On a 32 I would think a 9.5" or 9" will be as wide as you can go - PM "2GU UP" I think he is running 19s on his R32GTR - and ask him the offset as well. Then you can go to Simmons and get them made up in the same size (if they don't already have that fitment)

:)

Hmm yeah not to worried about the lightness just looking for some nice looking rim's with abit of wow factor and they are quite a stand out rim, for drag racing purposes ill just stick to stock R32 GTR rim's.

Also have always really liked FR18" simmon's and now there in 19" it's something i think should look quite nice.

Somebody has told me simmon's are going to have them (FRs) coming out in 20's in the not to distant future, has anybody else heard that or am i just having my chain yanked.?

reece mcgregors GTR in NZ runs fr18s do a search on skylinesdownunder for photos or google it... ALso a while back there was a red circut GTR on the cover of zoom with charcoal fr's on it!!! they look pretty good and would look real nice polished ina 19 on a GTR....

just look for a 32 GTR with Work Meisters. they are about as close as you'll get... i havent seen simmons on a 32 GTR before. ive seen them on a 33, but not a 32.

honestly i dont see the point in paying the money for the rims. not compared to lightweight japanese rims. my dad has some on his gt40....custom made 15"x13" they are heavier then my Work 18" x 9".

cheers

Linton

problem number 1 is they have soft rims... slight bump, aka small RTA sized hole in the road = flat section rim :)

here is a pic of my 32 GTR with R34 rims.... $2500 plus rubber for BBS made forged 18 x 9... u cant beat that!

I agree with Ben - they are soft rims - i had issues with my BMW.

PS, aren't R34GTR rims forged by RAYS not BBS?

    • I used to have Walbro 255's when they were a pretty common update. (or were they 044? 040?) In any case I had a dirty tank. I thought the tank was good, but I would find the filter would clog in maybe ~50km of driving. If the issue persists, well, your fuel system or tank has crap in it that the pump is sucking up.
    • Hi. Ok thanks for the info. I/we do not know what tune is on that Nistune ECU so it is why there is stock ECU and that Nistune is for later when the car is done. I have guy who tunes Nistune and other ECU so i will then take it to him to see and properly tune for the car   And for the update. On 99,9% it is bad fuel pump. Which is wierd cuz it is like 2 years old(brand new walbro 255) and that filter (also brand new) was dirty.  I was alwaya pumped premium(100) on very good petrol station so i dont know how is that possible...
    • Dear folks My family members have 4 different cars : Triton 2015 and Corolla 2011 and Mazda3 2012 and Hyundai Elantra 2014 Looking to buy engine oil funnel spill free What I found are are below  https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BBTTJNKX?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image&th=1 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/145553221359?srsltid=AfmBOoqYBU6Ptw0LU_bAp_k67U3qkF97HHvePkA7iHZw8vUmiwoIRaRr https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09X23TCS5?th=1 Is there a funnel with attachment that fits most cars ? Don't mind to spend for a decent quality  Thx
    • Stock ECU (or more accurately stock tune) absolutely refuses to go over 10psi and behaves like you have seen. The Nistune is the same if it is the stock tune. If the Nistune chip has been tuned, the resulting tune could be literally anything for any combination of parts. The Nistune just makes the stock ECU Tunable.
    • So stock ECU does not like anything above 10 psi?  That Nistune one is just for "try" if it will be any different, I know it need to be tune for that. I know but YOU may know about these problem but i/we dont. They few little Skylines here let alone people who know anything about tham so that is why iam asking here
