STEVE ive got these mods BOV, POD, FMIC, ZORST, GAUGES in greddy pods and under car neons ;) but i got a shift light and catch can which i didnt get permits for coz i took em off.

i already had permits but i was helpin a m8 on the side of the road with fuel and cops came over and see wha was happening and checked me car i had permits for everything else but the catch can and bleed valve so i have to go again to get em again next week

they'll always find something to shat on you for.....that's what happens when ur 18 and drive something nice.

:) that isnt ture, im 18 drive an r33 gts-t, and have yet to have a problem with the cops, i have bene pulled over about 3times now, each time the cop was nice had a talk to me about my car and about my mods, never got a yellow or had a cop be an asshole too me, i say its the persons attitude (spelling)

see, last time i was pulled over, they were interested in my catch can. I told them that it wasn't a performance mod and was purchased when i first got the vehicle to help monitor the health of my engine as I know nothing about them and was recommended by my mechanic to fit one. I explained that an unhealthy engine blew oil into the air intake and that this can caught that oil. I then pointed out that the can is completely empty so I was very glad that my engine was indeed healthy. He advised that I get a permit for it at my next convenience and i thanked him and went on my way. Regardless of the fact that I have FMIC, EBC, PFC all with no permits!

heh, i was originally living in geraldton when i bought my car, but i was moving to perth 5 days later.. in that 5 days i got pulled over 17 times. :D

the police seem to have a problem with me having such a car, and my dad being a cop himself... i dont see how that affects what car i own tho..

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
