can anyone tell me if the fitting of a resistor across the air intake temp sensor terminal works on the stagea and if it does where is the sensor located and what are the wiring colours, it works fine on the wifes Focus

Not a good idea, a resistor reduces the AFM voltage signal to the ECU accross the whole RPM range. This leans it out and advances the igntion timing at all points. But ours was too lean already at boost build and too far advanced as soon as boost was stable. Before and after (particularly) it then needed leaning off and advancing, but not the same amount.

I wouldnt use such resistors on turbo cars for the exact reason given above.

N/A could be assumed to run rich the whole RPM band, not turbos.
