Having driven your car Dave....I dare say yours is not standard......just like all the other goodies you have in that car ;)

ARC swaybars are popular in japan.......and considering the quality of parts fitted to your car i personally doubt it is simply a GTR item. Probably ARC if it is black . B O N U S

Yep both are black, and a bit more glossy than Id think a stocker would be.

Thanks ;)

And also Nico! Its got a 9 pluck ceramic clutch, and the guy wasnt lieing about a Jun light weight fly wheel, its nice hey. Just a shame its all on the pulsars floor at the moment about to take a trip to Jim Berry tomorrow. Gearbox conversions add up a bit when other stuff needs machining etc.

Oh, and aluminium sub frame (I think...) bush thingys. All it needs is a big arse motor, and softer front spring.

Good to hear you got that the JUn flywheel we had hoped for. Also good to hear you are taking your stuff to Jim Berry.....that is a man that knows his S#*T.

Ohhh yeah. And after talking to him this morning he said JUN flywheel = shit, cause its too thin :) But he said it should be ok for one machineing. Next time go for something nice and heavy.

He also said its a VERY VERY VERY good pressure plate and to NEVER throw it out. Nismo style or something. So thats good too. :)

I was wondering about my swaybars too - mine are 30mm thick too and black - maybe the same, I was told it is definatly aftermarket because it clears the RB25 sump and is fatter than the standard.

Still dunno what it is though theres no markings that stand out...

  • 1 year later...

I'm also at a loss as to what front swaybar I have.. There's a Cusco in the rear. Tried measuring the front with a ruler and seems to be around 26-27mm.. Clears rb25 sump. Looks a similar size to my mates front on his bog stocko laurel...

Will 32 and 33 GTR fit in the front with no modification?

A31/C33/S13/BNR32 are all interchangable, front and rear

With HCR32 only the rear is interchangable with the above

Rear A31/C33/HCR32 bar is 16mm solid as Simon said. Rear BNR32 bar is 25mm hollow, and rear S13 bar is 20mm hollow (memory is a bit sketchy on the S13 bar)

HUDDY: Whiteline have 24, 27mm swaybars for the front of S13, and 22, 24mm for the rear. I'm pretty sure they have another size smaller for front and rear but I cant remember what it is. The biggest they make in GTR rear bar is 24mm, so no difference.

    • Ok I get you. But isn’t the butterfly intake a headache with the +T?  see this is my plan so far but please advise me into the right direction.  Nistune Ecu, 1000cc Bosch injectors, TD05 or TD06 Kinugawa turbo using stock rb25det exhuast manifold, walbro fuel pump unsure of model I think it’s 450/460, spitfire coils and sparks to suit and a R35 MAF sensor and boost sensor.    I was thinking maybe do a cheap eBay plenum $400-500 or try find a stock det neo intake. I think I’d port match it so it’s getting the full capacity but open to advice please.  Thanks
    • The issue now is the 'fuel cut' while driving, and when it happend, it does not stall. This, I did not test the fuel pressure while driving as I cannot with a fuel pressure gauge. I do have Nistune logs, yes. I have also replaced the MAF Sensor.   Also related to the FPG Fuel Hanger – I just realized that I need a Deutsch Crimp Tool to crimp some cables for the FPG Fuel Hanger. Need to purchase additional cables as the kit only included 2, which are for the float. FPG has not responded to my emails so far since purchasing. I thought about taking it to someone and having it done professionally, but I am reluctant since everyone I took it to messed up in some way.
    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
